A big thanks to wreckerman for the loadout assist! Richard makes it look easy, even while dealing with hapless GL employees and lost truckers.
Having driven and tow-barred home over a million pounds of trucks in the past 4 years, I'm not even going to open that discussion. All I have to say is...

Thanks,

I can't comment on the jake brake, as mine doesn't work and I haven't had time to track it down, but the trans on my 920 whines at low speed and absolutely screams at higher speeds. It's full of oil and it shifts fine, so I can't say if it's good or bad.
FWIW,

Main difference?
When they first released the bulk of the M915-920 series as surplus a few years ago, you could get a 920 for under $5k out of Camp Shelby and drive it home.
That's not gonna happen with a 1070.

I bought (2) of the M925's from that sale, if it comes down to it then I can drive/tow it back to StL and load it on the truck.
Send me a pm if needed.
Andy
BTW: Mike is one of the best GL reps out there!
Can anyone identify this part?
I was told it's a trailer latch off of a Ben Hur trailer, but I haven't been able to confirm it.
Material is steel, and it is 5/16" dia.
Thanks,
Andy
