I've read a handful of posts where folks were asking about the cage bolts and what they looked like.
I found one in my truck the other day, so here's a few pics for those who are interested.
The nut on the end is 3/4".

This hood came from a collector's estate, and I bought it to save it from the scrapper's.
I'm fairly certain it's a CCKW hood, but I'm not certain.
Can anyone confirm this or point out what other model it might fit? I can supply more pictures and measurements if needed.
Thanks,
Andy
Karl,
I'm in the same boat, but with 3 of them.
One is a parts truck and I might be able to supply the driveshaft, but I won't know until I get it home in a few weeks.
Good luck,
Andy
If you want to compare an M818 to a M931, call me. You can come over and drive both, as I'm about 10 miles from you (63051). :D:D
As for selling, it all depends upon the end user and his/her ideas. Logger's tend to be hard on stuff and prefer simplicity, whereas collectors want originality.

I sold a clean one for $5500 in December. Same scenario, clear title, nice truck, etc....
It was driven back to Houston and is currently working in an oil field.
Thanks,
Andy

So, if we all go in together it would be 8 total, correct?
What would be a central location, where they could be unloaded and stored until we can all get to them?
Cody, if you can handle the unloading and storage, let me know.

If it comes down to it, I can make a few calls to some of the freight companies that I deal with.
I'm having trouble getting a LTL carrier to touch it, so I'm thinking about calling a freight broker for mine. If we can get a bunch going to one location (5 or 6), we can get a deal on a flatbed...
I called earlier, if you can get it to St Louis then I have a secure place to store it.
In your call history, my phone number started with (314) 691.......
Also, if any of the KC guys will loan you a towbar or trailer, I can hold onto those as well.
Good luck,
Andy
