the police depts that are buying these military vehicles under the program that practically GIVES it to them free.....shouldnt be able to be getting these to flip for profit - I dont believe that was the intent of the program by the Federal Govt.......these vehicles are SUPPOSED to augment...

For whatever reason MIG seems to all the rage. Unless you are welding some body panels on a truck or car - the Lincoln Idealarc 250 A/C - D/C machine pictured in one of the above posts is a LOT more versatile and more likely to produce better welds on steel that isnt REALLY clean....

how about caustic soda ?....I believe that is what a commercial metals cleaning outfit would use...can be bought most inexpensively in a 50# bag ....looks like white shards.....when added to HOT water and stirred - is exothermic (gets very hot) and cleans anything organic like oil and grease...
new turbine oil isnt cheap - if its in sealed drums why not try and sell it to a local compressor outfit & use the money to buy diesel....just a thought
the multi fuel should burn it ok and the turbine oil if new is gonna be CLEAN.
Ive found the best fix for this is a good local spring shop -
at home ---- measure from level floor to a ref point like the top of the front wheel opening......then jack up the body until its where you think it looks good and take same measurement.....then take the springs to the shop and...

thanks for the pics - Ive been scratching my head wondering for a while now how towing was accomplished....the pics REALLY cleared that up.........only the govt would use a system that binds up like that....the engineers must have been on vacation when that was approved.
