I tow a fifth wheel camper with it...slowly. It's underpowered, but does what I need it to. Mostly it works on my property and stays local.

Doghead relay was done by previous owner. I installed a Turnover Ball Hitch in the bed. Added a large transmission cooler behind the radiator and replaced a few parts. Put six Goodyear DuraTracs on it. Other than that I just use it.
At this moment it has 60100 miles.

I can gap a set of points with a matchbook, but to fix computer controled electronic ignition requires a bunch of equipment and skills I don't have. Easier to discard the malfunctioning unit and get another.

Truck is '86 M1028A2. Was M1031 that was converted by government in '91. Everything is as I bought it in 2014. I believe the spacers are original with the '91 conversion.

Yes, between the wheels. I think they're 1 inch, but can't remember. They have a "pin" that engages holes in the rims.

I put 235/85-R16s on my 1028A2 two years and 11k miles ago. I think they're fairly quiet... No louder than truck anyway. Seem to be wearing well. Dana 70 rear running the spacers that the truck came with.

I hear the Aussies use beer instead of washer fluid. They don't fill the reservoir with it. They just drink it and worry about the windshield another time.

I've had mixed results with "lifetime guarantee" parts. I generally will pay more for made in USA or names I've come to trust.

I drive through the night so I'm not fighting summer heat in the CUCV Solar Oven. I still stop every couple hours to stretch and hydrate. I wear earplugs to help with the droning. It's not like I'm going to hear much while driving my 1028A2 anyway.

I drape a white towel over the steering wheel and put a reflective windshield thing up. So far I've managed to avoid ovenmitts and boxing gloves.
