I beat the arm with a BFH until I noticed the conical washers.
If you have the lower bolts removed you can strike the knuckle downwards (don't hit the grease fitting!) and it should move the knuckle downwards a bit to open up a gap in between the arm and the top plate. Then reinstall a couple...
Mine is insured through GEICO. I talked to a live agent and explained exactly what kind of vehicle it was (M35a2 2.5 light duty cargo truck) and that it will not be used for commercial use. Since I was already a Geico customer, it only added $153.60 per term for liability/uninsured only...
Since I didn't want to wait a week, I took my shoes to Capitol Clutch and Brake in West Sacramento. It did cost a little more then buying them online.. but I got my shoes back in a couple of hours.
For roughly under $50 a shoe, they were cleaned, painted and relined.
I just met Bill Campbell from G503.com on the way to Tower Park today. I was walking across the street to Carl's Jr for lunch and he was sitting in the parking lot. We talked for a few minutes and then we proceeded our separate ways.
If I had any extra cash on hand.. I would take all the tail/turn light assemblies, wiper motors, fuel tanks, air tanks, entire brake system front to rear, cab body w/doors and probably other stuff I can't think of at the moment.
Too bad the Taxman came knocking first. How, I utterly dispise...
I'm in Sacramento.. but mine has the front up in the air for an axle reboot/reseal/brake reline. Hopefully I can get everything done in a couple of weeks.
I've been reading the thread on this since it does affect me.. this is what I found on 'commercial vehicle' and required licensing. Hopefully this will shed some light on the issue. Note that this applies to California only.

GL disregarded the VIN I entered on the request form.. and supplied a third VIN.
For some reason GL attached the manufacturer's number to the end of the original VIN.

Ye, best hope and pray it isn't dyed diesel.. serious penalties ($$) for using dyed diesel in road vehicles. IRS considers it 'tax evasion' for using dyed diesel in a road vehicle.
Hello, Carnac
My truck seems to have two ID data plates, one looks original, and a newer one. The newer one was fastened over the old one. The year of manufacturer according to the old plate is 1969.

1. parts: easy to obtain or unobtainium?
2: cost
2. installation: difficulty?
3. would a hydro-electric or conventional hydraulic power steering system be feasible?
4: or do I need to grow...
