Yea, its fun....I'm in digital filmmaking so lots of people want to use it either to be in short films...or, what I wanna do is turn it into a Grip Truck (Film equipment truck)
But yea, lots of looks through town when I drive it. Wednesday was actually the first time I drove it in a couple of...
Thanks. I'll be sure to post pics. I had to fix my rear axle gasket a couple months ago..Just the paper gasket because it was leaking into my rims...used hi-temp RTV instead. Was easy...left the wheel on..unbolted the axle...cleaned it up, RTV'd it and put it back together...lost fluid...
Hey guys, been a while since I've been on here...been soooo extremely busy with school lately. I'm about half way done with school now (getting my BS) Seems like all I have left after this next quarter is my senior project...which will take about a year to complete.
Anyways...I'm wanting to...
the **** taper is whats holding the bolt into the frame still...otherwise, once the nut comes out, it'd be an easy swap....
I tried the torch...still no luck....I just picked up my Remington 870...wonder if that would work...........
kinda lost there
I got the torque rod end out of the axle mount...I'm using a few different punches...and a small sledge hammer but still cant get the torque rod end out of the frame mount. What other tools have you guys used?
having a **** of a time busting the torque rod ends out of the truck...the dog bone is off... but both ends are still in the truck (ripped out of the dogbone)
I was planning on using real pontoon guides (carpeted like the ones on our trailer) which is an actual Pontoon trailer...manufactured, not homemade..but who know..I dont know more than you, Im just putting my creative ideas in writing...even if they are flawed and completely wrong lol..
As for...
Thats true...every place is different...And I do appreciate everyone's opinion and advice...trust me! :)
All advice is welcomed
And like mentioned before by myself and others..my main concern would be trailer weight...6,000 lbs empty is more than my entire setup right now lol..I just think...
I do agree...THANKFULLY, Folsom Lake has BEAUTIFUL grooved ramps (all in great condition) ..and tons of them....The water level ALWAYS changes since Folsom is the Dam after the mountains...so the ramps are always clean...(Not to mention, the water is always calm) I've never seen an issue at...
The bed is just sheet metal over-top of the frame to fill in the holes for a solid flat space..the rails will lift the bottom of the pontoon roughly 1 inch off the trailer bed/frame
I forgot to add the pics when I originally posted it...I've updated it
I see..thanks for clearing some of that up.
Yea...when I read that the trailer is 6k...well...that is pretty heavy
However, with the frame height being at 38 inches and then placing the V-Channels for the pontoons right on the bed, that puts the bottom of the pontoon 1 inch off the trailer...
XCK2000 Variant... It has a flatbed installed on top...its just a 7 ton trailer
CHASSIS, CONTAINERIZED KITCHEN TRAILER: 7 ½-TON, 4 WHEEL XCK2000, TRAILER: 7 1/2-TON, 4-WHEEL XCK2000E1

I'm not understanding the problem? It looks to be the same size as my Pontoon trailer right now anyways...whats so hard about launching? Is it the *weight* of the trailer that could be an issue? thats the only thing I see that might be a problem for some people with lighter duty trucks.. The...
Odd, I've never had an issue with my pontoon boat...loading or unloading at the docks..I almost dont even have to give my truck any gas when pulling the boat out of the water..I back in, unload, tie off, then pull my truck/trailer out and go park by myself with no issues
Also, that trailer...
