I gotta say it is a beautiful and farily remote area. I feel priveliged to participate in this camp.
We have often wondered how long we could go before someone just totally wigged out and had a meltdown. I think it would take alot for the guys I'm with to do that though. Everyone gets along...
I gotta say I saw that thread and immediately thought it had a questionable use of the flag and the guy was proly gonna get hazed for it and should have been IMO. I thought he may have meant well and just did not understand the disrespect to the flag and maybe I was brought up different so I...
It was awesome camping weather. When we showed up it was windy and cool for a couple days. The rest of the time it was actually hot. There was ice on the lake the first few mornings. After that we had a little frost on the grass but it was really too hot to hunt. The nights were awesome though...
I can't invite as it is not my families traditional hunting camp. I have been invited by some good friends who have been hunting the area for more than 50 years.
However the area is open, as of right now, to camping, hunting and fishing so who's to say you don't come out and camp in the area...
We were North of Defiance, CO. The town is now known as Glenwood Springs but I really prefer the old name. We hunt up on the flat tops which is a very misleading name for the area. It's just that Glenwood Canyon is exceedingly steep so the rest of the area looks flat in comparrison.
That is the route I was going to take first. It just takes some time to upload to YouTube. I figured I would have that done by tonight or tomorrow.
The Deuce is as big a truck as one would want to take on this trail. It's got some nasty rocky sections, some deep washout and tight turns in the...
In the immortal words of Andy Rooney.......Have you ever wondered what you can haul with a Deuce and a half? .........And.........How far away from civilization can you get?.......And........Why would you not want to bring some of civilization with you?
Well. For Elk hunting camp this year we...
Those CUCV's you have a great and I love the camo netting. We are looking for some ourselves. I have a pic or two of the CUCV's and of the M-101A2. And thank's to everyone that cooked and participated. We had a wonderful time. The good news is that when Tracie brings her step grandfther Art...
A person definitely gets value when they buy an A3. I don't think anyone has said they are not worth it. I mean try and buy a diesel powered pickup truck nowdays. You are gonna spend $6000-$10000 for one that is 14 years old and has 200,000 miles on it. With A3's you get a turbo diesel...
Thank you for your congatulations. I gladly accept it. The main guys at the MVCC have been working very hard to boost membership and participation at events. Dad and I brought all the equipment we did cause we are new to the club and need to earn our stripes so to speak. It's not required and we...
asgtoolman is right about cost. It is not cheap by any means to single an A2 out with modern radials.
A good A3 is $4000-$8000 depending on a lot of factors. You get 43 inch tall tires on combat rims with the much meligned CTIS system. I have not worked on that system personally but I have...
OH!.........Let me just say I don't know you and you don't know Johnathan. He's a great guy as I'm sure you are. We all enjoy MV's so we all have a lot in common without meeting each other.
So from that point we can say that I think you threw the first stone with regard to measuring up...
You didn't leave Tracie out. She's just short...........Don't tell her i said that. She's short but mighty.
She has been on two recoveries with us and really enjoys the adventure. She is fully qualified to drive the M-35 and the M-817. She likes the trucks but did not feel she found one...
Well then it looks like the front was locked in for some time on the pavement or they cupped and were not rotated out. Then someone put them on the back and said "Good to Go".
At least you don't have a mechanical issue and they will be fine as duals.
