    MEP-803A genset no crank

Idk what NSN is but I have tried searching by "mep 803a fuel sender" and "mep 803a auxiliary float". Most places are out of stock or very high.

    MEP-803A genset no crank

I have pried with two pair of plyers pushed and tugged and oiled down and cannot find a possible way but I will keep trying. I just want a new aux float and main sending unit in it before going back together with it. Where is the best place to get the 2 parts? Thanks for all y'all's help.

It looks like the tubes are supposed to seperate in the TM's at the tank.

    MEP-803A genset no crank

Yes I have all the TM's. I have been doing mechanic work for close to 50 years and I cannot figure out how this thing comes out. It revolves around me getting that white plastic ferrule up so I can slide the flange up.

    MEP-803A genset no crank

Ok update. I had plans to pull the tank to clean it out because it has black tar like sludge in the tank even though the unit has only 45 hours on it but it's been sitting for over a year in a field. My problem now is I can't get the aux float assembly out because it makes a hard 90 as soon as...

    MEP-803A genset no crank

100 AS wire was broken. Fixed. Have the main fuel pump running now. The aux pump is not running yet and I'm suspecting it's because of the float level switch. Any help for Aux would be appreciated. Thanks

    MEP-803A genset no crank

If I put my mulimeter plugs directly in the plug I get nothing but if I ground my black multimeter wire and put my red probe in I get 24 volts on one side of the plug. Is this the right way to check? Or should I get 24 with both probes in the plug? Thanks

    MEP-803A genset no crank

Ok crank issue at S1 solved. I had the engine compartment crank switch off.....lol. So back to the E2 fuel pump. I have 25 volts at TB-5 at terminal 1&2. 25 volts at TB-4 terminal 12. Have 24 volts at E2 pump plug when putting my multimeter negative on battery negative and positive on one of E2...

    MEP-803A genset no crank

Ok so I tried troubleshooting this today and now im having a S1 crank issue with no panel lights. This was all working the other day after I fixed the wiring. Checked the FU 1 30 amp its good. It cranks over from the engine compartment but not S1. Nothing has changed. Tried resetting the 7.5...

Ok will do. Back to the other question I had. Will the pumps run without fuel in the tank and the lines? Thanks, Jason

    MEP-803A genset no crank

I unhooked the 2 pin on both pumps and checked with S1 in prime for main them prime for aux. That's where I got 1/2 volt. I will trace out the wiring and let y'all know what I find. Thanks, Jason

The "no fuel" light? If so no its not on unless I hit the test light switch. Checked voltage at both pumps with then in their perspective S1 position and get .5 volts. 1/2 volt.
