What about performance gains or losses? With individual runners for the intake I fear you maybe giving up some horsepower due to the loss of the ramair effect. Individual runners never perform as well as multiple runners do unless the engine is singing at a super high rpm (9,000 plus).

Nitromethane has about 1/2 the btu content of gasoline, it is harder to ignite, costs a small fortune, even in a tf or fc engine you need to add a top end lubricant and loves water why would you want to use it? Leave it to the top fuel and funny car guys they know how to use it.

Stay-bil blue marine formula is what a lot of people are using in their small engines. Sta-brite I believe also makes a concoction. You also could try washing your fuel with water to remove the alchohol.

Jeepsinker he does have options as I mentioned earlier water based automotive paints are a very viable option. To be perfectly honest I'm not sure there is any clear that will work with a house paint base and not peel off over time. There is no need for name calling (sheep). The EPA makes the...
Jeepsinker,
Not good advise to give some one! In any state in the Union that will get you thrown in jail and very hefty fines and in the Peoples Republic of California maybe even the death penalty. Believe it or not automotive paints contain some very bad chemicals and compounds. Isocyanides...

Ford Mech,
You should do a tutorial of the disassembly, cleaning, reassembly and presseure setting processes. Make sure to add plenty of pictures also. It would probably be useful for a lot of us out there. :jumpin:

How do you sit in those seats with them mounted to the back wall like that? Other than that it looks like you guys did one he11 of a job[thumbzup] looks good. How does it ride, like on a cloud? I have a 1 ton chevy dualie flatbed that rode like a log wagon I addad Firestone helper...
No one pooped themselvs but, I did feel a few drops of pee. Seriously, the only reason we chanced doing this was because he did have plans on tearing out the old dyno and putting in the alignment rack. Not much call for dyno tuning any more with the modern fuel injection and it only went...
Yea, even the cars jumped around a little bit on the rack. If you took the tires off it would probably shake less.
Speaking of coming off a dyno, here is what happened to me. About 13 or so years ago I top to bottom rebuilt my chevy c30 flat bed it has a 15' x 8' bed with a hoist the bed alone...
What about using an exhaust type heat exchanger system? Take a section of the exhaust and double wall it for say a foot or so with fittings in each end for in and out. This way your not burning extra fuel to make the electricity, your just using waste heat from the combustion chambers. The...
I myself never liked the push lock type hose fittings, seen too many come apart. I would add some hose clamps and not the worm type but the type for fuelinjection that advance or autozone carry that go all around the hose as an extra safety measure. At 100 gpm x 170 psi x 1 minute = more mess...
One other thing I would like to add is you probably will not feel the transmission shift through the gears while the tires are in the air. We used to just run them up to highway speed for a quick blast through the gears (10 or 15 seconds at 55 mph on the speedometer) a couple of times to work...
