It has been awhile and I figured the deuce could do with its own thread.
I purchased a bed from a M135 and am currently working on finishing up the fuel tank.
I was also able to pick up a gopro and shoot some videos with that.
Those can be found here...
Is there a part number for those Autolite plugs? Maybe we could find a worthy substitute. I know it is possible to find replacements for the M151 style plug, hopefully we can for the M211 series.
Mine had an ignition problem too. Discovered that it was the isolator right as the wire goes into...
Your best bet would probably be finding an example off an Air Force M35 and copying it. Keep in mind the M211's have 12 wheel cylinders to the M35's 6. As compared to a modern vehicle the M211 has 3 axles, so twice the amount of brake fluid would be required on the rear compared to the front if...
You might want to check a local sign shop and see if they can make something up like that. Our local place does everything from stencils and decals to custom magnets.
A little progress report. It runs great with the bigger tires, and the top is fantastic. Waiting on time to get the new fuel tank's interior coated and exterior painted so it can go on the side. Looking for a PTO for the beast; as I would like to run a hydraulic winch on the back.
For the tool box top try Cameron Fab http://www.m151bodypanels.com/products.htm They make all new items to factory specs. Try http://g838.org/ for parts, it is a forum for just the m151 vehicles.
There is also a forum just for the M151/G838 series. http://g838.org/ you may want to check there if you haven't already, there are a few members on there who have that sort of information and could send it your way.
I was able to get a nicer take off steering wheel to put on, but getting the old one off is a chore. The adapters for the wheels were bored out to a true inch for the bolts to the MRAP rim and we added some flare around the center hole. (If you look close in the pictures above you can see the...
Clearance is no problem. Plenty of room for turning. I used some modified peashooter adapters for the MRAP rims. The front wheels set wider than the back in terms of wheel track. Given the geometry of a 6x6 truck I decided that slightly wider in the front would be fine and would help with...
I'd like to keep the standard height and just switch to modern wheels and tires. There are quite a few 22.5 wheels in the proper lug pattern so I will go that route instead of the MRAP wheels.
What is a modern tire size that could fit on a MRAP wheel, that would keep the stock height?
If I remember correctly 900x20 is the stock tire size...
I might also get a custom wheel, but an MRAP one is easier to find.
Thank you,

You must have caught him on a good day I guess, he was asking 2500 or so for a pretty rough incomplete m211. I will try again though, I would rather have a hard top anyway.
