Yeah thats a little hard. Ted's is easy because my sister lives in SC so she can get it for me :D even though I will owe her my life because she thinks its the dumbest thing in the world haha
Got a few leads. Talked to Ted he is going to send over some photos from what I hear though his cabs are a little rough.
I found one guy with a pretty nice Mk48 cab. Just waiting to hear back!
Hopefully I can get this bad boy ready for the summer. Everything has been repaired except for the...
I will take some pics when I go out to my property in North Bend where I keep the toys soon. Havn't had alot of time for it lately.
And I dont get why they need to be destroyed either. Its really stupid.
Yes I live in the Bellevue area.
I have a Mk48 LVS power unit with a Mk17 cargo trailer I am restoring. The cab thats on it is FUBR so I need a replacement.
Does anyone have any leads on where to pick up a HEMTT cab?
I saw a bunch on GL a few months ago but like usual they had to be destroyed :/
Im starting up a little project and need help sourcing a cab!
Thanks guys!
Wheels and where to get theme seem to be a popular topic here so I figured I would make a list of all the places I know where to get wheels. Surplus or new aftermarket wheels.
Feel free to add on
Longs Wheels
Red Barn Customs
Stazworks
MRW
Eastern Surplus
Boyce Equipment
Stockton wheel...
Has anybody ever order wheels from Red Barn Customs or Stazworks?
They have some pretty cool designs.
Also since wheels seem to always be a topic. Maybe we should compose a list of Places to get wheels and make it a sticky?
I would go to a shop that can custom cut plastic and bring your top so they can make an exact circular cut. You could have them bevel the edges also so that you can fit a cap on it, then seal it with some with strip.
Does anyone have blueprints and CAD drawings for HEMTT wheel adaptor plates.
I do alot of work with a machine shop for weapons manufacturing and have been taking to them about making these. And want to see if anyones willing to share there info before I start from scratch
If all works...
Just curious where you all get your 383 green paint.
Im looking for about 3 gallons.
Most CARC 383 green paint that I have seen is near $200 a gallon, thats a little more then I want to pay.
Thanks
