I changed my bulbs out and they lasted about 3 hours. I think that the problem is that the system is 24 volts and most bulbs are 12 volts. I have LED bulbs on order and they should solve the problem because the have a operating voltage of 10-30 volts.
I just relocated my flasher relay on my M35A3 by about a foot to make way for a train horn and since the relocation the front turn signals no longer work (the rears still work). The next thing I plan on doing is verifying that the ground is good. Other than that could the problem be related to...
I had 2 of the plastic kind that are meant to fit between the window and door but I had mine mounted in the defrost vents. I wasn't happy with these because they looked and felt cheap. I just ordered 4 bicycle cage bottle holders that I am going to paint green and then screw into the dash...
Another option to consider would be to go with smaller wire ran in parallel. You would just have to do a cost comparison and see what kind of deals you could get to determine if it would be cheaper. If the power company wants $50,000 and a $500 min bill/month, then your 600' must be through...
I have an M35A3 that I fabricated a wooden frame for that fits in the glove/map box and holds both my stereo and CB radio. I mounted a 4' fiberglass antenna on both the headlight coves and used a signal splitter from "fire stick" that allows me to use both antennas for the CB and Stereo at the...
Lots of the above + emergency flares, chains, tow ropes, shackles, wheel chocks, flashlight, grease/grease gun, pry bar, really big hammer, jack stands, WD-40, and a fire extinguisher.
The tires were all leaking down (2 would go completely flat in 6-7 days). I wanted to fix the system but after getting into it and realizing all of the potential areas for leaks I decided just to remove it and install schrader valves. It sure rides a lot smoother now.
New kitchen did the trick for my wife as well. However, she reminds me all the time of how much she dislikes my truck, despite never having ridden in it. Too bad that guy's wife wouldn't let him get it. Wish there was a way to help make it happen.
Here are some pics of what I did to install my cb and radio in the glove (map) box. Took quite a bit of wood work but I am happy with the end result. I am out of town now but will try to get and post some pics of the installed system.
This is very informative and I thank you for that. I have been searching the threads for some time now on how to get more speed out of my A3 and I hope that we are on a winner here. All of the other threads have just died as it seams that no one who has successfully accomplished an A3 tranny...
Thought this would be a good opportunity to post some pictures of the electronics installation I have been working on for my A3.
As you can see the two converters, four channel amp, buses and fuse boxes have been mounted to a cut sheet of plywood that I designed to bolt to the back of the...
