    Ryan's Deuce build

Nice build! Can't wait to see the progress.

I can provide power steering CHEAP & RELIABLE

Cool, I mean it couldn't hurt. Also you may have something that is worth protecting with a patent and the attorney could help you there as well.

I can provide power steering CHEAP & RELIABLE

Sounds awesome but I would be careful the amount of liability that you are potentially exposing yourself to. You may want to consult an attorney before you start selling them.

PA Speaker Video I was out of town most of this weekend and it started raining when I got back today so I didn't get much done. I did manage to take a video of the PA's in action. However the video does not do the sound justice (especially when I hit the train horn). The pictures are of my...

    My first sled pull

Dude, that is not rap music. The song is "The Distance" by the band Cake. An excellent choice for the pull video. Official music video link:

    more power out of a m35a3 ??

That debate can be found at: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce-modification-hot-rodding/78336-compatible-transmissions-m35a3-cat-3116-a.html

    24 to 12 volt

Not sure I understand your question/English. "could you just make a mount for a 12v battery" Sure you can build a mount. Depending on where you want to put it you may even be able to buy a marine battery box for relatively little money and use it instead of having to build a mount. "and hook...

    more power out of a m35a3 ??

 That may be true, however it doesn't help to answer the original poster's question.

    more power out of a m35a3 ??

:funny: An engine swap doesn't answer the original question either. I appreciate the sarcasm about the 1,000 hp mod. I really don't think the original poster is looking to get 1,000 hp out of his engine or to go 70mph either (he actually said 60 I think). Personally, a 10-20% increase is all...

    more power out of a m35a3 ??

The thread is titled "more power out of a m35a3 ??" not "What should I get to pull my toy hauler ??" People searching for answers on the intended topic will not find them here because the thread has drifted too far. Myself and other M35A3 owners are much more interested in how to increase...

    more power out of a m35a3 ??

Somehow this thread went from being about how to turn up the horsepower in the Cat 3116 to a thread about what vehicle EXPLICIT1 should use to haul his toys with.

    more power out of a m35a3 ??

True, and if you change axle gears for more speed, your towing abilities will diminish. Get you some Ouverson 4.90 axle gears and some marine injectors and you should be good to go.

    more power out of a m35a3 ??

I have briefly searched the internet on the same topic and came up empty handed. I to would love to get a little more power out of the CAT. Subscribed

    24 to 12 volt

I have two 720 watt Pyle converters now and they work great but I may eventually add an electric winch and that will necessitate a 12 volt alternator. Does anyone make an alternator mounting bracket to fit the Cat 3116 in my A3? I have seen posts where members have fabricated one up but am not...

    Deuce Tailgate Crane

I am concerned that this design may lack lateral stability. I think you would have a safer, stronger, and simpler design if you would drill two hole through the side of the bed and secured the 6x6 with bolts through those holes. I have tried to illustrate this in the attached picture. Of...

    CB runs batteries down

This is how I have all of my electronics installed and it works great. If your CB has a "remote" wire (usually blue) then you may want to have it on a non switched power source. This may not be so important on most CB's but on something like a stereo you would lose all of your programmed...

    Which Deuce is Best

Not necessarily. To me the best deal is often times not the cheapest deal. Example: I would rather pay $7k for an A3 that is worth $8.5k than to pay $6.5k for an A2 that is worth $6k. The A2 in this example is cheaper but the A3 is a much better deal.:rolleyes:

    Which Deuce is Best

If you want to go faster than 50mph and would like the ability to burn more than diesel, get an A2. If you want a truck that was rebuilt, has dual brakes, auto trans, power assist steering, and more horsepower, get an A3. If you are still torn, go with whichever you can get the best deal...

    Rumblin Wreck Build

This weekend I installed my keyed door handle, tidied up some of the wiring, and painted the inside of the cab. Below I also included a picture of my off road lights working. I would have gotten more done but I had to spend Saturday working at my rental property.
