There's only 1 exception to the 4th digit being a "H" and that applies to the M1010 which has the "H" because of weight but does NOT have the "Trac-Lok" front D60. All others with the "H" came with the "Trac-Lok".
Try to get same size tire as what's on the M1009 in case one of the rear goes out as it does have to "gov -lock rear end & might be issues w/rear end carrier. Of course you could always take one off front & put it on rear & put off size on front. Would not cause you any problems UNLESS you put...
The fuel line from (rubber section) fuel tank to lift pump on bott. front is 3/8" line. You should not use std rubber line. It MUST be desiginated "fuel line". I just had to do what you are doing. Gates line is "SAE30R7 XL Fuel line 3/8". Just cut it a little long and if have to use some tie...
Sure I will, just got back on. I'll have to get my wife to help me so bear with me. Hope to have it to you in next few min. Let me know if came thru okay. Smokey
Maybe you already know and have checked this, it is not only the length of belt that's important, it's also the correct width of belt versus pulley width for which it's designed. If your belt is "slipping" or "squealing", look how the belt is laying in the "V" groove. I believe it should ride...
Also, I think you should use same size lugs and lugs nuts is on the truck now, because they are so close in size you can get them mixed up and crossed threaded. I never realized that front and rear were diffeerent widths. I just went out and measured my M-1028 which has the wagon wheel 37" on...
I agree with M1075 by just putting on 2" spacers . That's all. As to trying to make it "track" different- well that's everyone's opinion. However, put spacers on front (which you must) and then leave them off on rear. Get behind it---"Looks kinda of goofy to me (opinion only). I already have a...
The M1031 that Markinnh has and the one that runs off PTO to the 6.2 are entirely two different setups that you can't compare. I don't know anything about how the Wisconsin engine handles amp loads but jbolty and mine are the same. However, ours do not run at normal idle speed which is est...
Before I bought anything, I would take off the hub that turns freely without stopping. Look at it and determine what's wrong with it. If you are new to it, and it's not obvious what is wrong, then I would take off the other side being very careful to lay all the parts out in the order you...
If you check each battery , front or rear ( I call front the one next to radiator) by just going + to - , they should read 12.5 to 12.9 just as Keith was saying. Even if they are in truck and battery cables hooked up correctly and you check + to - they both should read as above. When you try to...
If you have not figured your problem out yet, I believe this is your problem. Look at your picture of the starter & solonoid. You have the green wire connected to wrong terminal. It should be connected to the 'S' terminal (one closest to engine oil pan). Change this & it should work if your...
The std. Stanadyne filter assy does have a water seperater in it. The indicator light lets you know there is water in filter. That's what the black plastic protruding part on bottom of the base of the filter is for. Water settles to the bottom of the retangular filter and the star knob with hose...
I put a Banks on my M1028 after driving it for 2 yrs + and its hard to describe how much difference that the Banks made especially if you are pulling a load. When pulling my trailer with a kubota w/front loader and a 1100 lb Woods bush hog--There's one hill and before tubro I hit hill at 55-60...

How do you get the 24V glow plugs to work when only 12v is feeding to them? I have some of the humvee 24v gp and while holding by hand hook them to a 12v battery and they of course take forever to start to heat up and looks like if all 8 gps were trying to work at same time, it would drain...
My son recently changed over the reg 6.2 in his M1028 with one of the 6.2 (90)mod that was a takeout of the Humvee. If you have the 6.2 you are remmoving, you should have now problem. One thing that no one mentioned was that the intake is different on the humvee in that it has the complete open...
