    HELP! Starting problems... see video

I first noticed that you seemed to be low on fuel per your guage . If for some reason it is so low that the fuel pick up in the tank may not be picking it up. If your float it tank may be a little off you may just now have enough fuel. First I would add 2-5gals so as to eliminate that. Does the...

    4wd Question

    are both your hubs "locked"?

Need help on a fuse that keeps blowing.

It has to be a "short" somewhere along that wire. I would start at the fuel tank (since you indicate that it is tight at the "float" I assume you lower tank & remove the unit from tank). Just follow the wire all way back to where it goes into your fuse block. The wire could have scraped place...

Fuel Pressure Switch and Hard Starting CUCV

I also mean't to say to "Wilcat" that the 3 lines coming off top of tank are as you said one is fuel line, one is "return" line but the little short one with the rubber cap is not a drain. Its for use with trucks that have duel tanks and this is connection for that.

Fuel Pressure Switch and Hard Starting CUCV

Stu, Just for you or others to consider,-- I just ran into similar problem of not starting with M1028 I just sold yesterday. Truck would turn over w/o any problem but was hard to get running. Then it might run 3-5 min or in some cases 15 min. any then cut off. I installed brand new OEM stanadyne...

    Dana 60 Trac Lok odds.

All 1028 & 1031 came with the "Trac-Lok" in the front Dana 60. You may get one with reg open diff. but that's due to someone in maint changed it out for whatever reason. A couple of other points that you can fig it has "trac-lok" is 1) if the 4th digit in vin # is a "H" (with one exception)...

    Front hub locknuts....

1st make sure your soc is correct size. I have not removed one on the 10 bolt but have on the dana 60. Since it is open diff. the axle will turn whether or not other tire is on ground. Best way if you have one is to use air impact. Can't tell from pic but is that another C clip in front of the...

    Can I title with this?

In SC, If you are the buyer from GL & they send you SF97, you have to go to local DMV and get it titled in your name--then turn around and sign over your title to ever is going to buy it. In all my cases, I have the buyer sign a statement written by me "that he will not sell outside the US or to...

    m1009 fuel pump

Pardon me, I could be wrong, but if you run it out of fuel, the std fuel pump will start fuel in about 5-6 turns of engine, however your problem is the fuel be out or low & air in line at the fuel filter, which you will have to bleed as normal. So I don't think electric pump would solve the real...

    NP 208 transfer case brace

Cucvs -all M1009 0r M1008, 1010, 1031, 1028 were never equipped with these braces. Most civ units did not have the TH400 but were equipped with TH350

    m1009 vacuum pump test

The vac line (rubber hose) runs from the pump on back of engine & goes to metal line that goes to reg valve on side of Inj pump then goes down to mod valve on side of transmission. If hose is rotten anywhere and no vac is going to mod valve, your trans will shift only at higher speeds and very...

    Blazer glow plug issue

Glow plugs on M1009 & M1008 series are all 12V. However, on the Humvees all those are 24V. The 12v glow plugs have the flat spade type hookup and the 24v humvee have the round type hookup.

    M1009 headlights

Only thing that is 24V is the starter and of course the slave adaptor in the grill of the truck or blazer.

ok i need help pleese... pissing me off!

yes, you need a flywheel. Also you need someone to ck volts going to starter etc. Do you know if the batteries are hooked up to provide 24V or 12V. You probably know this but just because you have 2 batt. DON'T mean you have 24V.

ok i need help pleese... pissing me off!

Are you saying that someone has changed some things & that you are using a pushbutton to "start" the truck rather than turning the ign. switch? Usually the pushbutton is an indication that someone has converted the glow plug over to manuel pushbutton. Also don't understand what you mean by "you...

ok i need help pleese... pissing me off!

Is your truck or blazer still original or have you changed it to 12V system? It came 24V which both the starter & solonoid on top of starter is 24V?

Better12v Solenoid and glow plug power supply

Yes , the starter AND the solonoid on the starter are both 24v. I'm not sure what Stu mean't by 12v unless he has changed the starter to 12v type. If he is starting his truck with 12v without use of Pushbutton,, I would like to know details how he did it.

    M1010 Interior Lighting Circuits

The reason I asked was that as you state --when you turn on the black out lights the blue light supposed to come on . Are you sure the bulb is not burned out? I have a 1010 that we drive and also another one with all drive train removed. - use it for storage.
