This is quite simple. You need a double check valve to feed pressure from both the primary and secondary brake systems to the trolley valve. The purpose of a double check valve, is simple. It allows the side with greater pressure, to pass through. Down line you need another double check valve...
I was thinking that, but reasoned, with proper designing, you shouldn't have to. I was wrong. I pounded some wooden wedges between the tranny and frame, but that didn't yield much.
Well, I got my PTO installed, today. HOLY MOLEY! This job was a son of a bitch. 4.5 hours to install. This is probably the hardest job that I've done in many years. The PTO certainly wasn't meant to be installed after the transmission was installed in the vehicle.
I will have to make a new...
Yes it is, spring return. The uppermost portion of my setup, is about 3/4-7/8 higher than the actuation lever. The factory setup, is about 3/8-1/2 higher than actuation lever. I'm thinking that it will fit. If not, I will redesign it.
The pto is one I bought to install on my 923. It is a nose one for the 900 series. I didn't want to use a cable, so I fabricated the pneumatic actuation system.
Well, I went a step further. I got rid of the canister fuel filtration system, and installed a spin on setup. I also replaced both of the rubber fuel lines, as well. She starts up great, now! I have attached a pic of the filter and mount numbers.
I finally got my overflow valve and installed it today. Now it starts! Thanks for the info. For all that read this; the P-7100 pumps ARE the same as the MW, for the overflow valve. The one I used is for a 95-98 5.9/8.3 with the P pump.
It's the same as putting 4 batteries in parallel. You only draw off the last battery, but all of the others back it up. One won't be overcharged, and the other undercharged. They are connected together.ions will travel from a greater concentration, to lesser concentration. In addition, the lmtv...
You are drawing off of one. The other will back charge it to keep them balanced out. The alternator charged both batteries at the same time. Heck, the lmtv has both 12 and 24 volt systems. You can do whatever you want, but your assumptions are incorrect.
This is nonsense. Running 12 volts off of one battery will just put a bit of a drain on one, but they are in series and the other battery will aid in back up and their charge will balance out. Many 24 volt trucks also have split systems, with both 12 and 24, with the 12 coming from one battery.
I just read this thread. Why did you go through all this expense, when you could have just ran a fuse panel off of one battery? With a disconnect, if you are prone to leave things running.
Well, I talked to Cummins. They want 345.00. Mack wanted 175.00. I bought the best engineered one for a 5.9 for 50.00. if it doesn't fit, I can always resell it.
Yes. I've read all that, and googled all that, and read every item that came up. Every item says p-7100 pump for 5.9. no place did it say for mw pump, nor for 8.3. Your the first person to state that. Thank you.
I spent over two hours today, trying to find an overflow valve. I can't even find a listing for one. A ton for the 5.9, but none for the 8.3. I can't even get Cummins to answer the phone, nor return a call.
