Well, that's one I've never heard of. Ive never seen anything like this happen before, so I was hoping on an lmtv particular issue. Maybe i can check. It's in a field with flat tires. The cab doesn't tilt and I can't get under it.
I tried to start an lmtv today with two charged batteries. The ground was connect to one - post the hot was connected to the + terminal on the other battery and the other two were connected together. The 12v lead was connected to the positive terminal on the grounded battery. When I hit the...
I made it back home Sunday afternoon. All is well. My initial problem, was that somebody removed the woodruff key from the throttle linkage and it slipped.all went well with truck after that, till I got to my destination. My tow setup was originally going to be a tow bar, but a friend gave me a...
Saturday I started my trip from Utica n.y. to San Antonio TX. I made it 150 miles before being stranded on the nys thruway. 6 hours waiting for a tow truck. and 750.00 later, I was towed to an International dealer. 385.25 more, and she is back up and running. I was told that the fuel filters...
Thanks for the offers. My main concern is a breakdown on the way. I'm welding another pulley to my boom this week, to mount a T-bar to the rear of the truck. I will use my load line as a tow truck, and tow my GMC behind me. 2,000 miles, is a long way, and anything can happen. My girl's aunt...
I need to move my M-925 from Syr. N.Y. to San Antonio Tx. at the end of Feb. It is currently 32,000lbs. and 12'10" high. I can get it down to 12'. It runs and drives. Just don't want to drive it 2,000 miles. My phone is 315-794-3858. Thanks, Jim.
Well, the buttons don't always work, and I thought that if I put a pressure gauge in the dash and a 3-position switch; it would be better. I'm not at all familiar with the wiring on these, but I'm learning.
I have all of the TPS parts coming. I believe that it's better to do it right, and not need it; then to need it , and not have it! I bought the crane, as a whole operating truck back in 07 when the market was busy, and there weren't many for sale; now there are many for sale, and no work!
Thanks men. I plan on taking it to Texas to work in the oil fields, or on ranches, where others fear to tread. I have 66 ft. on main boom, and 27 ft. on jib, for a total of 93' hook height. Having a second shoulder surgery next week, so I will be out of commission till I take my cdl test in it...
Like I said. I don't know squat about the military versions, but the coolant won't circulate in a civilian version of a 6.5 without the cap installed. They only circulate under pressure. I had problems with mine, overheating till the day it died.
In GM trucks, the coolant system was upgraded in 1996 to a larger water pump and dual thermostats. This set up made a difference in the pickups, and there is a kit to convert to a duramax fan and clutch, as well. The 6.5's in trucks, always ran hot. The engineers determined that the radiator had...
I just purchased an m925a2. I'm trying to get insurance for it and am having a hard time getting an affordable policy. I searched here a bit, but didn't find a post on this subject.
