How long does the CTIS put air to a tire before it gives up? I've got a sloooow leak on one tire, I chased the wheel valve and o rings in the CTIS to where that doesn't leak. It will still leak down to about 40psi in a week then just stay there. If I air that one tire up, the CTIS has no issues...
This thread has the parts for coolant filters in it. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?131589-Adding-a-block-heater-and-coolant-filter-on-6CTA-8-3&highlight=
There is a thread about those, here is the post I put in it: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?105681-on-Front-Differential-seal-replacement-and-front-bearing-cover-removal-on-a-M939&p=1620176&viewfull=1#post1620176
I just fixed a leak in mine, and like you'll find in other threads a huge help is a glad hand-to-air compressor adapter. Your CTIS wants to see certain things before it will even try to work, 18-32v and 120psi. While I looked back through the TM's and stuff from Spicer I got off here and...
Replaced my broken wheel valve today, and the hose that goes to the axle too. It was frustrating but mostly because I didn't park the truck next to the tools and seemed like I took fifty trips to the tool box for a simple job.
I would get some test strips and see what they say. I don't know that you are going to have any compatibility issues, and I don't know how you would ever know for sure what your truck had in it to know for sure. The best you can do is know what you put in it. A filter would be a good thing to...
Fit was perfect on the pipe, it seated fully with my soft top, but you might have to leave it a touch high with a hard top because it's bigger in diameter than stock. The finish was good, too. It was black, which would have been fine. The base and clear bowl are plastic, the top is metal. Both...
I painted and mounted my air prefilter that I had ordered before. I didn't have any time for a test drive, but there is no doubt it will flow more air than the little mushroom that was nearly Carc'ed shut. I took a photo of my Filterminder before I reset it, so I can compare the results.

Thanks Carnac!
I wonder if my truck ever went to Ft Bragg, since I got it out of Wisconsin. I wouldn't think it would go that far south then back to the midwest to be liquidated. But then again, I was in the military once, so anything could happen. Maybe it was just on paper. Either way...
What a coincidence, I JUST ordered a precleaner for my A2. I went with the heavy equipment style, http://www.amazon.com/CATERPILLAR-1306859-PRECLEANER-ASSEMBLY-INTAKE/dp/B00QU62272/ref=sr_1_26?ie=UTF8&qid=1426517819&sr=8-26&keywords=precleaner+5%22 but I like the looks of that ram one.
How...

Since my truck is my "get to work no matter what" vehicle, I've driven it multiple times this winter in cold weather. It's done okay without a winter front, cab heat isn't good, but it keeps the windows clear. I didn't expect much heat with a soft top and fit and finish such that you can see...
That's nice, I bet the pup will enjoy it. I've had my brittany spaniel in the cab of the 5 ton, he was fine until the air relief let off, then he wanted OUT. :cookoo:
I'm not even going to try the climb into the cab with the 100lb+ german shepard.
Your warning didn't overcome my stupidity, I am also missing some skin from a finger. :)
Those magnets are no joke, but the doubled up canvas was too thick for them to really hold it on there. If I was a skilled seamstress I'd sew them into the doubled over edge the tarp already has, but I'm...
I leave my charger plugged into the cord I have run to a timer that runs from 0400 to 0700 every day. If I'm going to drive my truck and it's below freezing, I unplug the battery charger from the cord and plug in my block heater.
