    6.2 injector lines on 87 m1028

The diff is in the inj pump end, the DB2s had a diff size end than the DB4s. I know I have seen someplace they make "adapters" for them, but if I am remembering right they must be made of platinum! ($200+ a set. May be our only choice one day.

    CUCV Front Winch Mount

Hi!, I had planned on putting one set of "mounts" on top of the winch plate, similar to yours, and one set on the bottom side. Do you know if the outside demensions on the square tubing you used would allow a padlock to be placed through the holes on one side if you wanted to keep it mounted...

    Temp light "system" question

I have both a gauge and light. I like the idea of both. On a vehicle I had years ago, it had both light and gauge, I popped an oil line and the light caught my eye before the gauge, got it shut down before any damage.

6.5 turbo setup on 6.2, problems with throttle vacuum valve adjustment.

Ilikemtb999: when you adjusted the modulator, how did you do it? I have heard some have a small "screw" inside the hose port. If this is so, do you remember which way does what, such as CW makes it shift earlier, CCW, later harder? Thanks, Greg

Injector deal, can this be TGTBT?

I found this while doing some part number searches. Has anyone heard of them? It seems to good to be true!! $26.00 Bosch in www.starsdiesel.net/chevrolet-suburban-65-td-diesel-injector-0-432-217-276_p12692.h Edit: after speaking online wit one of their operators they ship from China. Could...

6.5 turbo setup on 6.2, problems with throttle vacuum valve adjustment.

Ilikemtb999. if you cant do it another way, all you need to mke te spacer is a gasket for a template, the piece of Al, and a jig saw with a metal cutting blade, maybe a cpl files. Its a very simple adapter to make even with basic hand tools

Yet ANOTHER tire question, smaller tires on hummer rims...

richingalveston, Thank you much for your thoughts. Wanting to go with a smalled tire is not so much a $$ issue as its is that I just dont want my truck that high. I know about the cost of civi 16.5" tires...crazy, but 35" is all I really want to go. The hummer rims are just a look thing for me...

    Temp light "system" question

Hello all! as my title says I am having an issue with my temp or over heat light. I put system in quotes because after looking through the TMs, I see nothing to it but the sensor and light. My truck,an 85 M1008, will not light the light when I first put the ing. switch in the run position. I...

    CUCV Front Winch Mount

Bushhawg73, that is so close to an idea I have been tossing around. Have you thought of making provisions for being able to mount it on the rear? I know on my M1008, the distance between the frame extensions is slightly different, I cant remember exactly. Just a thought but I love the design...

Yet ANOTHER tire question, smaller tires on hummer rims...

Thanks CSM Davis! You mean just the PVC beadlock inserts I am guessing? I was also wondering, I have heard of some ppl taking the rubber runflat inserts and cutting them down so they just have a rubber insert, no runflat. I wonder if you could take a set of them, cut them down to the proper size...

Yet ANOTHER tire question, smaller tires on hummer rims...

I would really like to go with a set of hummer rims, but am not wanting a 37" tire. I plan on lifting my truck, but 37" of tire is way more than I would like. I see that BFG makes a 33X12.5R16.5 tire and was wondering what ppl thought of this as an option, The tire also comes in a 35" version in...

    Wrangler VS BFG

richingalveston, I am guessing you use the centramatics, are your rims recentered or do you use spacers? Are they as simple as they advertise, just bolt them on and go? Do you know if they work equally well with recentered or wheels with spacers? Thanks! Greg

6.5 turbo setup on 6.2, problems with throttle vacuum valve adjustment.

Ilikemtb999, I had thought I was going to run into the same issue but when I got my new VRV I was able to adj. it so that I dont think its going to be an issue. You said you dont have the means to make a spacer, if you can get some thin plate, less than 1/4", you should be able to cut it with a...

Why are my starter bolts coming loose??

As I had said, I got GM replacement bolts and have the rear support on and tight,Id never use starting fluid and have a circulating coolant heater. I,however, along with the reasons Hasdrubal mentioned above as well as the original DD starter have served GM products fine for many years do not...
