I must have been cornfused on this. So the wire numbers are printed directly on the wire insulation? I guess I didn't look close enough. I have the one wire with a number band on it so I assumed the numbering should all be on bands.
Quite a few of those sold for next to nothing on GP. I will keep my eye out for one nearby. Wouldn't mind parting one out and using the rest for a wagon.
This page reads all the fans and controls are 28 VDC. Loads are variable resistive. Will measuring have the same effects as delivering? I get that sending 400 HZ into a house wouldn't work but it seems a resistive-reactive load should be okay for testing a 60HZ gen. Not saying it would work but...
That's a good clean looking unit you have. It has the new style fuel pump, the metal shaft switches, fuse mod already done, and clean operable gauges. You should get good service from that one. I would connect a good quality multimeter at the lugs to verify voltage and hertz and let er rip...

Northern tool has a 5000 watt garage heater advertised for $90...
I am not an electrician but I did a lot of reading and research on the subject of grounds and the bonding of ground to neutral.
My understanding is you can have any number of grounds. The more the better. You can only have a ground bonded to neutral in one location. Most home breaker panels...
He didn't say in the OP but I'm pretty sure he is talking about the hose to connect and auxiliary fuel source to a MEP-802A or MEP-803A. May fit other models too?
