Why would one want to turn up the boost on their LDT465 and if there were a good reason how would one (I) go about it? My first diesel is my deuce and I really don't know much about diesels.
Thanks guys. This deuce thing has been a learning experience from the day I won the bid. I have learned more than I thought I wanted to know and now I can't seem to get enough new information. It's weird how addicting these things are.
I think that I have seen a post somewhere that said that these LDT465's in our deuces were only good for about 65K miles. This concerns me because my truck says it has 2K hours on it but the mileage is only about 20K. The speedometer adaptor was broken when I got it from GL. I have since...
It may never rain here in Texas again but pics like that keep the dream alive. That is so cool I can hardly stand it!!!! That'll get ya a big old Texas Yeee Haaa!!!
See I knew that you guys would have a simple answer for me. Much obliged. Give me just a bit and I'll come up with another one for you to skin.
Thanks guys,
JR
I hope I don't ever need them (Probably will now that I brought it up) but I was thinking that some hazard lights might be handy to have on my truck. You know, just in case. I guess I could make up a set of lights on a bracket that hangs on the tailgate or something but actual hazard lights...
I drove mine home from Ft. Gillem Georgia (Atlanta) west across GA, AL, MS, LA and finally, into Grapevine, TX. Since then I have driven to Paris, TX and back, around town and in the 2005 Christmas Parade.
Well, I agree completely on the prima facia evidence method. You know I had to have insurance on the thing in order to take it off the base in GA. So I just took a stab with the insurance guy and told him it was a 71' then when it came tag and title time I just stayed with 71' it was easy and...
It is an AM General so I guess that puts it somewhere between 70' and 81' ?
All this info will be put to good use starting early Saturday AM. I can hardly wait!

This is excellent news. Thanks very much. I called on getting it registered today and it is a reasonable number so this part is going good. Looks like most of the data plates are on the dash so next time I am with the truck (Replacing rear transmission seal this weekend) I will check it out...
Got my new duce from GL it needs some work but it is still just about the coolest thing I have ever had. The latest challenge is to figure out what year it is. The government certificate to obtain the title says UNK under the field where the manufactur year should be. All I know is that it's...
That 3053A manual posting would be right on time for me. I just got my first Military Vehicle. M35A2C from GL. So far I have had to have a rear wheel bearing sealed and the transfer case replaced. On the way home from Atlanta (Post lengthy and painful repair exercise) the rear seal and...
