Batteries at 12.35V
It's about 28 degrees out.
Nothing at all when I turn the key after the wait light.
This shows on the dash:

I plugged the heater in a couple hours ago and nothing changed.
Any advice?
It smokes for a couple seconds when the weather is cold. I have injectors on the list of possible to do's. I don't know how to tell if they are bad or not. There is no leaks around the IP and it runs fine.
Switched the lines out and it was quick and easy like you said. I noticed a couple hairline cracks in the transmission bell housing. How serious are they? Is this something that can be repaired with a migraine welder? Her are some pictures:

Your right! I have those lines and was going to try to hold off until spring when I swapped out the oil. If that is the root of the smell I guess I need to do it sooner if I want my wife to ride anywhere with me.
Thanks so much!
Ok. The issue is somehow related to the heat/blower. No smell when driving without the blower on, but when I turn it on there is a smell. I put a CO2 detector in and it does no go off. I sealed around the blower housing and the heater core but that did not help. Any ideas what could be...
If you have a cordless drill with a 12 or 18V battery you can connect the terminals on the gauge to the battery with alligator clips or short lengths of wire to test it. I just went through this and ended up getting a new 24V gauge with usb chargers from Amazon and putting a temp gauge on the...
Hi all and I hope you are having an enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend. The weather here is warm for this time of year so its nice to get out and work on the truck.
I read through what I could find on various gen 2 posts here, but I have not found the solution to my problem of the gen 2 light...
I wish I would have just gotten 13's! Too late now, I switched them out and changed the connectors. Are the 60's slower to heat? I have the batteries out to do some other work and have not fired it up yet.
Tinstar wins. I replaced the thermostat, and flushed the heater core. The heat was about the same. Then I bent the heater door cable and it shut all the way. The heat is much better now. Thanks for all the help.
So it sounds like I should go ahead and replace the thermostat and do a heater core flush after I check the blend door. If the issue remains it would be the head gasket. I will read up on replacing the head gasket, but it sounds like it is a manageable project to do in a home shop. Thanks for...
No temp gague, but I would like one. After driving an hour or so it still is not blowing hot air. The manual says there is a thermostat. Do you mean someone removed it?
My VM is not working currently, and taking of the dash will happen one of these days. Let me see if I understand this correctly. The stock VM has a resistor that can fail and either the resistor can be replaced or just upgrade to a 24v VM. Is that right?
