Once these trucks start they need no elect. to run.
There is a wiring diagram in the Electrical section of the web site that is good to have - it even shows were the circuit breakers are. (on the fire wall inside the cab and in the engine compartment)
Then just do a complete elec. check after...
The same thing happened on all the M35a2 in the Arkansas auction.
For some reason they are checking the instruments for radiation and then they will give the site mgr. the certificates to release the trucks.
Check with your rep. from GL at your location.
It took three weeks here to clear all...
I personally know how bad some of the GL people can be - BUT - For Little Rock - The best representation any company can have is Sherman with GL.
Today TulsaMe and I, plus one other picking up our own trucks, had only to air up tires and go - Sherman had checked out and started ours so they...

I sent several emails over the 68 days and many phone calls stating I would not like to see my truck cancelled due to anyone dragging their feet (this happened when they lost my paper work the first day and day 2)- also since I paid for the truck with credit card and was paying...

Like clinto said; read - read - read - I spent 6 months READING before I joined this site - one because I needed info on my M37 and later because I wanted a Duce - now because what I have found is there is a community here of like minded people that realy do like this hobby and make it better...
Don't start high - use the auto bid - mine went under what you are wanting to give.
BUT - go and check out the truck - start - run if you can - my GL rep here let me start all of the ones for sale and told me what he knew about them.
Crawl under and check on shafts and runing gear, some times...
I left out that Fire Depts that get these and other trucks from the gov. can sell them with a bill of sale and some states will accept this from a rural dept or like the Ark. forestry comm. others maybe not.
This hobby is and will always be for "Fun" but we could loose that if enough try to take short cuts just to get something for themselfs quick.
Titles are titles they say I own this item.
Ways to cut out the right way to do the "proper" paper work will eventuly stop all of us.
Quick buck...
Guys; every state is differant - some charge a tax, some do not - that being said,
"The Gov." does not pay tax!
GL - sends you a invoice, if it shows tax charged on the sale then the product sold had a tax paid but not nessicarly for vehicle tax - in Arkansas the tax on used vehicles does not...

They Don't want to pay the taxes on their purchase, just make a profit!
