I don't really get into making them for a living but I had a spare pintle I used for the base and I have about $100 bucks in the steel and welding it a up. For me it works great and only takes about 2 minutes to switch out. You can pm me any questions you have. I have pulled 10k lbs with no...
I turned my screw out 4 turns and out in 4k gov springs in my m931a2. I haven't adjusted the main fuel nuts yet but on a 2 miles 10% grade pulling my 105a3 loaded it never gets above 1275 degrees. That's floored the whole way up the hill.
Well the transmission came in at 844lbs on the skid. So I carried the skid about half a block to get it to my house and I estimate it weighed about 40lbs. I though the tire davit handled it well. Had a little bow to it but I wouldn't be afraid of it snapping at that weight.
I use the harbor fright 20 ton air over hydraulic jack works perfect and just use the air from the truck to run it. It's also manual pump back up if you don't have air.
Not that it's recommended but in a pinch I used it to load a mt654cr transmission. I have further plans to mount a bearing in where the two pieces bolt together so I can use it to load the future bed.
You can try and push the plunger up in the center of the spout sticking down and try that. It got me home but it will act up again if you don't rebuild it.
That's the air dryer. You probably need to rebuild it. Napa usually has the parts on hand for them. Midland haldex DQ6026 is the filter kit. And lower rebuild kit DQ6020. Mine did same thing shortly after recovery and I rebuilt it with those kits and it's been good to go.
I know on cars we put them in as far as the go and spin it holding pressure on it and they usually drop back in the rest of the way. I have never done this particular trans though.
