Seems correct to me. You can't adjust the pressure on the truck. The control valve has a built in relief valve that keeps the pressure between 1650-1850. If your not within those specs you have to replace the control valve or check other parts of the system for the problem.
Ok got an update on the issue. Tonight we finally had time to get together and take a look at it again. Upon checking the timing again it appeared to be correct so with little to loose we pulled the pump back and and set it 180 degrees out. It fired up and ran fine it didn't get near as hot as...
I reused the gasket cause it acts as a shim. I loosened the mount on the transmission and used a bottle jack on the yoke to push it over some and it slid right out.
The control box in the cab is different. The cables are the same but the box is different. The pto driveshaft length is different also. When going from A0 or A1 to the A2 models.

The guy rebuilt the pump himself. If I remember it started to smoke a little but nothing major. After we let it cool down if fired right back up but was losing power after about a minute and was super hot and you couldn't even put your hand on the valve cover.

Installed a new Purair dryer from an mrap. And had a perfect working ctis until the other day I got 5 flashing lights. I tracked it down to the air hoses on the intermediate axle and replaced those. She's good as new now!!!!
