That strategy doesn't work IMHO. Irans F14a (Doug, they bought 79 units!) flew nevertheless...
I didn't know that Suzuki cross bikes were ever in service! Interesting. Expecially with that small displacement, but big motors can make them too heavy for real cross conditions.

I agree, that could be an easy one.
Also: if you see the drive shaft between the transmission and the transfercase rotating with engaged gear and released clutch, then its the transfercase.

I used a sort of linseed oil for rust protection/inhibitor with very good results. You even can mix it into normal single component paint. It is also very good for sealing wooden surfaces (boats, fences, barns...).
I wouldn't give it away.
