    G749 preservation

They don't even make that big of a bang. We always had a lot of them that were duds when I was in the service. Some didn't open that far even when they did fire. I wouldn't worry about that one hurting anyone, but make your own decision. That is just me.

    M220 AirPak rebuild.

I got mine here since they had the best price at the time. Maybe there are cheaper ones but I am not sure. http://www.eriksmilitarysurplus.com/rekitform55t.html

Just don't chew on it or hit the primer with anything while you are holding it in your hand and you will be fine. There is little to no chance it will go off by itself.

I think it is a blank used for training.

Plowboy...I pulled those panels for you today. They need a little wire wheeling, paint and some weatherstripping, but are otherwise in good shape. I'll be working on the shipping this week. I checked with Memphis and you will need the "L type" weatherstripping. They sell it in 5 ft rolls.

    New M135 owner checking in.

I think the blue is a civilian thing as well, but I sure could be wrong. This is one of my parts trucks that I pulled out of the woods a few years ago. It is serial number 3194 and registration number 41122836.

    G749 Parts List

No. I've not found a source for those other than at some of the major surplus parts dealers. I believe there are some Anco wipers and arms that people have used as an upgrade.

Very neat! Welcome to the forum!

G749 Trucks hard to come by

Not that I am aware of. I did not notice that it ate anything away, but it sure penetrated some rust that had been there a long time caused by corrosive blackpowder. That was on an original US Model 1861 Springfield.

G749 Trucks hard to come by

I would check with McMaster-Carr for that bolt if you haven't already found some. For the stuck engine, if what you have in there shows no sign of working, I would try Kroil. I've used it to free 150 year old seized gun parts with success. Pretty sure your truck hasn't been stuck that long...

That back window is different than the one that is in the hardtop I have. I'll try to get a pic of it this weekend.

No need for paper gaskets with that? Sounds like some good stuff.

    1952 M135 W/Winch

It is page 357 in TM 9-8024. I don't mind the wait at all. If you find something that will work, I would be just as happy with a part number so I can order whatever it is to keep on hand. I plan to keep these trucks a while and will probably need it more than once. It was not very bad at all...

    M211 top

Yes. Our soft tops have a canvas back panel. I might even have a complete set of soft top canvas that would work if someone was good at canvas repair. It is the set that is shown in my avatar. The top is faded and there is a tear on the front but I can't remember how big it is. The cutout is...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

Yes. That is it. I want to adjust the linkage like the TM says, but it seems like having that tool to get the distance correct is very important. Mine is shifting great, but the front wheels won't engage in reverse when the rears slip. I don't want to mess with it without the tools and then get...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

OkieM1008morrison picked up a set of mirrors for me for the M135. I have never seen this type before. The mirrors themselves are replacements but the arms are definitely military. Has anyone seen this type before? The bolt holes line up perfectly on the M135. I really like them and they seem...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

The list of things to do on the truck keeps getting smaller. The middle axle output oil seal on the transfer case had been replaced and everything put back how the TM says. There is zero play in it now. The middle axle pinion seal has been replaced along with the sleeve the seal fits over...

I have 2 MM panels for you. I owe you some parts anyway. PM me where I need to send them. I did find one hardtop a year ago and it was easier to leave the RR panels, window panels and back panel that has the rear window attached. Like this. 1944mb might be driving down here to visit in...
