Metal Magnets's M211 teardown and future rebuild.

I'd like to see some more video of the standard transmission M135 in action so we can really get a good idea of the performance difference. Asking you do drive the truck around more wouldn't be too much to ask would it. Haha!

    1952 M135 W/Winch

My seat covers from Weebee Webbing came in. They look great, but I haven't got them put on anything yet. I really like the smell of canvas. Where are those Scentsy girls? We need some new scents. Military Canvas, Cosmoline and Hoppes 9 would be nice. The rain let up for a little bit and I...

Those look real good! I plan to use the original springs on mine. They still look decent.

They told me they had synthetic horse hair cushion and that it was $25 a yard. They were going to measure and send what I need, but they were estimating 3 yards. Do you have pics of your seat covers?

    1952 M135 W/Winch

The rain forecast is still not cooperating with my painting plans. While I dodge tornados and wait for it to dry out, I ordered seat covers and cushions from Weebee Webbing. They said the wait time is about 2 weeks. Really looking forward to getting these. http://www.odcloth.com/

    1952 M135 W/Winch

I sure will post the part numbers if they will tell me what they are. Some people hold that info close. I used Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer on everything. Seems like people are having great results with it too. I have no complaints so far with it. I like to let it cure for at least a week. Just...

    1952 M135 W/Winch

I am going to try the Behr route after reading how pleased people have been with it. This is 1944mb's engine, but he used the paint color I picked out a few years back. It is about as close to a perfect match as I could get to some original paint I found on an old gas can and under some layers...

Progress is slow but it is happening. One of my wheels is an oddball. None of the others have this marking.

    Houston....we have problems....the M135 came home.........

My trucks have style B. 5314 was made February 1952 and 4984 was made January 1952. There are no order numbers on any of my trucks. Not sure On the 4G marking since there was also a 4A marking under that. I read somewhere that the 4A and 4G markings was a change the Army made in the 1960's...

It appears to be mostly complete! When will you try to start it?

    Houston....we have problems....the M135 came home.........

If you ever get out this way, I think I have some of what you need. Passenger seat (would have to make sure it isn't rusted out) and canvas top. Can you post some pictures of what the engine looks like?

    Houston....we have problems....the M135 came home.........

I'm not sure how you can single the truck out without getting very invasive or have it be reversible. Man those rules in California are stupid. Do you have a friend outside city limits where you could park the truck so you don't have to chop it? Please do post more pictures when you get a...

G749 Trucks hard to come by

I'm finally getting rested back up from the trip north. We played hard, accomplished much and slept little. We had so much fun, but I am paying for it this week. Now that I am more rested, I figured I'd share some pictures and some more of the story. First is the picture of the snake that...

    M135 from Salmon, Idaho

Here are pictures of the rubber piece under the hood we spoke about on the phone the other day. I need to figure out how to make some new ones since mine are rough.

    G749 Parts List

I got the belt number changed and the manifold gaskets removed. Still looking for a part number for the pilot bearing for the transmission and a proper fitting manifold gasket. To all....please let me know if a part does not work. Most of these part numbers have been contributed by various ones...
