    M35A2 Transport vs. Drive

I think I would have done what you did except I would have brought a chase vehicle.......Or bicycle. You know. Whatever it takes. Congrats. I drove mine home 50 miles and was starting to get fatigued. I can only imagine what you had to do.

    do you call AAA

Other like minded people are the best bet for sure. We have the same type of program in our 4X4 club. Everyone has all the other members cell phone info and if there is a problem they start calling. Usually there is somebody from the club with them already though. That is where being in a club...

    GL getting faster now.

Who here does not have an addiction to the camo equipment. I am on vacation with my girlfriend in Vegas. Not only am I on the SS site but I had to go 380 miles round trip yesterday to see 100dollarman about buying some tires for my deuce. He has trucks, trailers and tires for sale. Great guy...

How Long To Charge The Batteries?

I am no expert but it sticks in my mind that you will reach about 90% capacity from full discharge in about 30 to 60 minutes under constant cruse type mode. it takes some time to "peak" the batteries. Others on the site will know for sure.

I thought engine oil got to about 250 F. I have hyd oil that for sure reaches that temp while running equipment on the farm. The skid steer has a huge hyd oil cooler to try and keep up........I will have to check the hyd oil heat with a raytech next time i'm workin'.......Now I an curious.

    M35A Deuce Battery

You sound like my Pop's. He owns the first new electric car dealership in Colorado. He tells me ALL about how batteries work. I suppose it helped being a chemist as well. Batteries. Simple but not so simple. There really is a lot to it.

    Surging idle

I have had really good luck with all the Lucas products. I run the Lucas fuel additive in all the farm tractors because they sit for long periods and it helps lube the injector pump with all the low sulfur fuels. It hopefully is as simple as needing to be driven regularly.

    First Deuce

I drove mine about 50 miles to get it back to the farm. Before I embarked on the journey it needed a couple quarts of oil and some of the silicone, Dot 5, brake fluid. I did not know how or what but the guy I got it from did and showed me real quick. I also had a chase truck that could pull me...

    run ins with law enforcement

I forgot. My dad has a few great stories from the sixties/seventies when he was driving the m-37 all the time. I will see if I can get him to post them up.

    run ins with law enforcement

I have not had any problems over the last 23 years of driving m-37's with regard to law enforcement. Just general curiosity and thumbs up. One time I scared a high school parking lot attendant by driving on top of a huge snow pile in the parking lot after a big blizzard. He was just standing...

    Tire safey after flat

I was just saying that I don't think the tire failures are as common as we all may think they are. Also, I don't want to find out what happens when there is a failure. Most of the failures I have heard of have been from defective equipment or improper instalation. It is very important how one...

    Fur in the fuel tank

Wreckerman is right. The algae only grows in the fuel.

    Tire safey after flat

I am going to qualify this reply by saying that I am not an engineer or an expert in any way in the world of tires and wheels. However, I have personally broken down a lot of the military snap ring type wheels. I want to make clear that they ARE NOT split rims. Of which I have had several split...

    Fur in the fuel tank

I was going to say the same thing. I have diesel farm tractors and if they set for a long time with low fuel or half fuel they build up condensation and then they grow algae in the tank. All our algae has been black and stringy. I don't know if it is different colors for different parts of the...

Correct Deuce Air Filter - Donaldson P11-7551 doesn't exist?

I am happy to have you all share the info. I am going to take the Car Quest filter I bought back and wash the old one. Apparently there is a way to tell if it is washable or not. I was wondering how adequate the Car Quest filter was when it was much smaller than the O.E. AND the O.E. had 410 CFM...

    Deuce part numbers

That is the exact info I was looking for. I don't throw away any MV parts unless they are FUBAR. I still have the O.E. filter in the box. I will wash and reuse as per the maintenamce manual. I will send the Car Quest filter back as it is inadequate. The reason I posted was because the filters...

Correct Deuce Air Filter - Donaldson P11-7551 doesn't exist?

After seeing this post I am curious about the change in air filter I just made. The indicator was not in the red but I wanted to start off with fresh filters all the way around. The O.E. filter was not bad so I saved it in the Car Quest box. It should be the same Wix filter from Napa or Car...

    Deuce part numbers

I would like to thank the people that have done and do research and list part numbers on this web site. It has been a big help to me already. I just bought my first Deuce and it lost some power on the way back to the farm. I wanted to do some P.M. and needed the part numbers for the filters. I...
