New summer project! "Rosie"
I've seen a couple with the chevron, again though, not really sure which conflict that was. Or if it was even the military that painted these specific ones for that matter lol
Thanks for the info clinto! If I can get the time off from work, I think it'd be fun
Also, zebedee,
You mentioned that it could be possible that the truck could have served in the gulf. You may find it interesting that I talked to Les, the historian over at the 101 club, and he was able to...
New summer project! "Rosie"
That's cool! How were they able to tow them with Awd though? Unless they remove the driveshaft I guess
Also, when is this Georgia rally? Things will depend on if I can get it put together in time haha
Hey there!
Going to look at a 5ton this weekend, but I have some questions. It's listed as a 1955 international m54, and has the continental multifuel. For some reason I thought that they didn't have the multifuel until later years and the earlier ones were all gassers??? Not saying the guy is...
I've been told it could be... I'm still looking into its history. As far as I can tell, the truck was originally in Wales. Under the rattle can camo looks like desert tan... And under that seems to be the original British Racing Green color!
It ran me about £165 plus about £30 for shipping to the U.S. Though I will say, the quality of construction is much better than I expected... It looks like they made the canister walls out of high pressure schedule steel pipe and not an old dog food can :P
I'm torn between the original british racing green color, the land rover pastel green, and desert tan. I like them all
Any of you rover nuts going to the Metal Dash Weekend? If so, I might see you there!
I believe most of the uk trucks were decommissioned and sold by the end of the 90's but I could be wrong. I believe Malaysia still uses them, or so I've heard
Thanks!
I was looking for a different landy project at the time and this one just kinda fell into my lap. I do have the canvas hood, which I'd like to go back to. But I do not have the hood sticks. Was thinking about making some out of conduit if I can't find any around here.
The front and...
Haha. That's custom. I call it "P.O. Chic"
They did make them with a radio and ambulance body, and a very rare radio interceptor called the "VAMPIRE"
Though I believe this top will be coming off to make room for the soft top. All said and done I'm hoping for it to look a little something like this
