Not that I am an expert by any means but here is the info I have discerned from my restoration of my USMC M151A2 FAV/ Supper Jeeps.
The 3 set pictures By B3.3T are of a M151A2 at the MVPA convention in Portland OR two years ago. I have not seen another one set up like this before or since...
OK multiple clarification questions....
The transmissions Allison & Cat.
Which is better and or why... Faster, gearing, ??? I got that the service issue on the Cat maybe of concern but put that aside.
I am looking for road speed more than the 6x6 or 6x4 availability. Although as said...
Yes this was my question... the front on the M915 & M915A1 is very low compared to the "off road trucks" M916 & up. So maybe width could be a problem, not so much height. At least according to your tire chart.
OK... I opened the box so here goes....
My planed use for the truck would be to lenghten the frame to 20 to 25' behind the cab. Install a custom made RV body (have a friend that does this) and use it to tow a "light" flat bed (via pintel hitch) with my toys on it, Quads, Sand rail etc... also to...
OK I have been wanting to go down this path M915 M916 for years now.... But no trucks. Now they are comming out. I did not know there were two transmissions? OK now that a few of you have play time and actual military time behind these boys, whats the best one for over the road speed and pulling...
Yes you must become a yahoo group member, or join yahoo.... That being said I have not been hit with any spam from yahoo after starting this. I know I have joining something only to have my email blown up with BS. You just get a yahoo email AKA sign in for new account (never use it or conect...
I did NOT need to see this:evil:. NOW something else I want to build. My exact words were "thats f**ken cool" just great man :beer:I
I know many of you have done calculations for many things to come up with projected road speeds and such but what should this do for spped... Here is where I am...
Hello all,
As with most everything I do I have started a data base of vehicles, cataloging Contract numbers, Registration numbers etc.... for all the vehicles in this category. That includes motorcycles, M-Gators, Chenoweth FAVs, and any other of the like. Obviously my main goal is to help...
I bought mine (M1030B1 Gas) over two years ago when there were litteraly near NONE available. We will see where a RUNNING bike winds up $$ wise. I would have loved to have paid $2K but that was not the reality. At one time ALL 650s were to be turned in for rebuild by HDT to diesel bikes...
Looking to buy a military welder that is trailer mounted and engine driven. Looking to pay decent money for one and need it now sooooo. I am looking for any help finding one. THANKS!
Hello,
They both fit the MK64 and MK93 Gun Mounts. The big one is for the MK19 40mm ammo cans mainly but is used for everything that fits those mounts. The small one is for the .50 cal ammo can. The M60, M249, M240, MK19 and the M2 will all fit in the MK64 and MK93 mounts they just have...
Well my 2 cents. Obviously no one thought the GL bikes were the diesel bikes, otherwise they would have went for 5 to 8 thousand dollars each. Yes belive it. Because I would have gone that high. I paid over 5K for my USGI M1030B1 One of only 3 I know of in cililian hands. I own 4 1991 250s and 1...
Nice to know the "Super Jeep" thing. I have put together a little bit of a time line on the Super Jeeps/FAV. The USMC had made two types in some qty. first was made with threaded pipe and screwed together joints the second was all welded. There are diferences beyound that. See pictures. Then the...
Well its almost done but I could not wait to show some pictures. Still needs a day of work and some misc. details.
The MK19 is a factory sample that is made from real parts but is non functional. Like the barrel has oblong holes cut in the underside with a milling machine, etc... I could not...
They have all been sand blasted and tore down to be rebuilt. so there are no "cheep" bikes only ones you can hop on and drive. These are fairly detailed also so your not just buying a bike with some fresh paint over the dirt!
Well bike one nears completion!:-D The others will move along much faster now that I have a system down and know what it takes to get them back together the way i want.
Anyone come across a source that has the water proof military "extention cords" with the cannon plugs. This is a whole system that connets to the military generators then a pourpose built USGI distibution panel, all with special cannon plugs.then out to individual water proff outlets.
THANKS...
Looking to replenish my stocks here... Wanted to see if anyone has the blackout light kit for the M880. I really just want to buy the 12v blackout lights mainly the ones that go in the bumper. THANKS!
