One other possibility is that the Deuce in question is a VERY old soldier (WW2 vintage) that was last rebuilt in 1966 and still has its original gasoline motor.

Pete, Thanks for the kind remarks. I was really blessed when I won this Deuce last August. Only serious deficiencies were a rotted cab cover (already replaced) and a major CTIS leak in the front rear axle. I hope to have the CTIS leak fixed by July :)
