    Another Aussie goat rescued

The tools sound very useful indeed, unfortunately craftsman don't really have a presence here in Aus.

I suspect tyres are going to bugger me though, can't see them passing a roadworthy.

Oh, and my back yard has been sprayed out and worked over in preparation for planting new grass, Australia isn't that much of a desert!

Well, progress at last. I found some proper silicone brake fluid and bought half a gallon, after a week or so recovering from the shock of the price, I set about getting the brakes working. I didn't like the idea of trying to bleed them through the hole in the drum so I welded up some rings out...

There is a new transfer case on its way to me now. Happy days.

Goat won't do over 30, help me!

I have since sorted the problem, it was a combination of a number of things. Sludge in the bottom of the tanks was blocking filters, questionable quality diesel, throttle linkage and cut-off cable adjusted poorly, it's a much happier unit now although I did find out my transfer case is trashed.

Goat won't do over 30, help me!

I'm curious as to what you think I haven't considered. You haven't seen the scenario, dead flat, straight road about 3 miles long, a good mile of visibility all round, no traffic, no side roads, no trees, absolutely nothing to hit. I idled it there at about 2-3 mph. I wasn't suggesting I drive...

Oh, I did get one little thing done, after removal and a thorough cleaning my fuel gauge sender appears to be working again. In another week or so I should have all the bits needed to install the brakes and get her driving properly. And the dot 5 fluid was on back order, should be there this...

Not a lot to report as work and a new puppy have been keeping me busy. I did get a lovely surprise in the mail yesterday though in the form of some hub seals and a pair of lifting rings, thanks again m38inmaine and mkcoen, I truly appreciate it. My rebuilt transfer case is on its way but sadly...

Additionally, my spare hub and brake parts have arrived in Aus and will be with me soon. The transfer case and other parts will be on the way from red river soon hopefully. At 45mph the transfer sounded like an air raid siren.

Not a great deal as work has been keeping me busy. I did take it for a drive (still no brakes) and got it up to almost 50 so I think it's safe to say the engine issues are sorted. I did learn something, don't try to use the goat hand brake to slow it down from 20mph to take a corner, it will...
