I've been following your adventure, and it's good hear that you made it home without too many issues. I will surely check the transmission fluid level for two knuckles down. In a couple of days I'll post up my planned route. I don't want to drive on the superslab, so the highway/backroads...
Got the EUC approved, and just talked with Teresa at Redstone. I have scheduled 7/8/09 at 10:15 for our recovery attempt. I'll have a couple of buddies with me, and my son, and a load of stuff to get this thing going.
Plan is to start it up, (after checking major fluids, adding fresh diesel...
The only change to the address we have seen since we've been here, is due to the 911 re-numbering our street. Went from 945 to 985 about 7 years ago. All utilities have been in my name, with the same address forever.
BTW, DRMS just called me regarding the email sent last night. Funny...
Guess I'm one of the "un-lucky" ones. EUC sent to Battle Creek 5/5/09 and still waiting. I have "live-chatted" with GL a couple of times in the past couple of weeks, and they always said I was within the 45 day window, and just needed to wait. My question is what does the 45 day window...
Same here. Submitted on 5/5, and still waiting. I did the live chat thing last Thursday, and asked if they could check. Heidi replied that DRMO has it, and it was still within the 45 day window. Keeping my fingers crossed......
That's Great ! You're well on the way to having them home.
Mine was submitted a couple days before your first, so hopefully it won't be much longer. Does bidding on more stuff help the wait?
 Nothing Yet. Going on 12 business days, and the days are getting longer. Really, they are actually getting longer. The wait is just excruciating.
I spooled the document off to a .pdf file, and I think that's where the problem was. I have since created a jpeg file, and placed it in my previous post. It should work now. But anyway, here's the numbers I got from the document:
032526244 :Serial Number (VIN number)
04A22070...
We haven't recovered the Deuce yet, but I have been trying to get as much information together as I can. Through searching this and other threads, which directed me to the DRMS website, I have located the following document: (Hope it shows up)
There are handwritten numbers on the form (in the...
Hagerty just turned me down. I tried to be as honest as I could, as honesty is the best policy, but it didn't work out. My application indicated utiliy/off-road, as I plan to use it on the farm. But they said they only insure parade trucks, that are garage kept. Bummer!
Wow! I'm kind of hoping my first EUC takes at least 10 to 14 business days. The best time for us to schedule recovery will be in June, or at the earliest, the last week of May. (Sent to Battle Creek on 5/5/09)
Wow ! Just Wow !
I walked out of the office thinking I had a truck. Then get around to check the GL site, and see this stuff. What a crock !!!
I never saw they were extending the auction, until about 30 minutes ago. I'll have to pull up the files from the computer's memory to see when...
Hey there fellow "Volunteer"! Well you may not be a Vol Fan, but a fellow Tennesseean.;-)
I'm West of Nashville TN, small community named Henrietta. (Ever hear of Pat Head Summitt? She grew up in Henrietta. I worked for her Dad and brothers on and off for several years. She's a great...
We don't know much about the M37s yet either, but we are learning as much as we can. We might just take you up on that offer to see some of your trucks. And maybe that one that needs a home..... ???? Thanks for the offer, I'll be in touch.
I don't think all the bids placed by a non-paying bidder should be voided. Because if he bid third highest, you the second highest, then he trumped you with the non-paying bid, then you were willing to pay what you bid at he second spot. Which was more than his bid.
I don't know, I'm a newbie...
Then they should let the second place bidder have a chance to buy the item at the second place bid price if this happens.
BTW, I was second place bidder on two of the deuces at Redstone....
All I got was a headache and a case of mouse-click elbow. Geesh it still hurts.
There were several trucks that I was watching, and I didn't want to do the auto-bid. So I had to keep tabs on what was going on. The website gets really slow to reload when there's so much activity.
My...
