To me, this seems to be a good way to have the second "circuit" on the M35's braking system. Why not put these on both the front and rear pinions? As you said, the calipers and rotors are out there already.
Never thought about having handbrakes on the Deuce though. We need some some...
On the contrary, Pre-1985 or so M35's have anything but a redundant brake system (unless they've been upgraded). It's a single circuit system, unlike most passenger vehicles with dual circuit system. Meaning that if one item in the single circuit is lost, the whole system is inoperable. With...
Not yet. Haven't really seen the need so far, but will when fuel filters get changed in a couple of weeks. When I see fuel start filling up the return lines (after cranking over the second 10 second attempt) she starts shortly thereafter.
I'll leave the shutoff locked in place until...
In lieu of opening a new thread, I thought I would post my question here, since it is related to the fuel shutoff rod....
Last week, I was moving the truck from the driveway back to it's grazing area in the pasture. I got in, flipped the power switch, and she fired right up. Then I noticed...
I've been planning the exact same thing. Using the big Kaiser Jeep to haul the small Chrysler Jeep to the playground. (Actually thought about unloading the little jeep, parking it, and playing with the Deuce :-D). Haven't exactly figured out the loading ramps yet. Do yours hook over the...
That is freakishly too kool!
And to think, most guys talk of bobbing their rides. I think you may have just strated a new trend !!!!
I think we need to have a competition to see what else can "mated" together to make that ultimate MV hybrid !!! :-D
Just went through radiator replacement yesterday. Using the TM, I was Soldier A, and my 10 yr old son was Soldier B. (Soldier B must be a supervisor in all the TMs cause he don't do much). Anyway, it well real smooth. Started at about 08:30, and by 10:45 was ready to fill with coolant. On...
Just wait until your wife realizes she has competition in the attention department! OMG, she is about to come face to grill with your new Mistress !!!!
Went for a short drive today, and when we arrived at our destination, my attention was directed to coolant running out pretty good from the lower corner of the passenger's side of the radiator. It didn't appear to be coming from the hose, but a little further up on the radiator itself. A nice...
Gots my hitch installed yesterday. (I know, pics will come later!) I didn't really need the maximum heavy duty stuff, so I went with a Reese TowPro (#37096), rated at 500 lb. tongue and 5,000 lb. trailer. Got it from Wally-World for about $130 + tax. Should be good enough to pull the boat and...
