Hello all. I was given several pieces of what's shown in the attached pictures. I assumed it was something similar to pn 12340031, which is used to secure the leading edge of a soft top to the top of the windshield. The edge of the soft top slides perfectly into the channel on the part, but...
I was having trouble with the fuel line threaded fitting lining up as well when I did mine. There's a couple of clamps holding the line in place on the front of the motor. I loosened those and it gave me enough play to get the fitting lined up fairly easily without having to bend or force the...
NC DMV Tag & Title on Buck Jones Rd
And for what it's worth, I still haven't been contacted about an inspection or anything like that for the m1123 or m1165.
I 100% agree. I could be wrong, but my money is on a loose power or ground connection somewhere. I've seen it more times than I can count over the years.
What does your tach show at idle?
Here's the issue I was having with my m1165. See post #5 for RWH's explanation of why I was seeing what I was seeing.

Also, here's a cheap way to confirm actual engine speed...
I see a lot of the turbo trucks with oil leaks where the turbo connects to the intake manifold. I'm not a diesel engine or turbo guru by any definition, but this seems to be way more common on these trucks than I would have guessed. What causes it? Is it indicative of a more serious problem...
I had the same issue at the first DMV I went to in NC - the sf97 reassignment letter from gp wasn't on an official DMV reassignment form, so they said they wouldn't accept it. I went down the street to the next closest DMV to me and they accepted it without question and have since titled 2...
They fit. Easier to load if the trailer has a fold down fender but still works if it doesn’t.
Hook your strap to the tire webbing straps on the trailer to extend them.

It’s tight, but fits with standard wheels and tires on a uhaul. So if your other setup is any narrower, it’ll be no problem.

I had a blowout and had to drive through downtown Raleigh, NC on the runflat so I can attest to their value. Having a sturdy, sharp knife preferably with a serrated edge is a necessity to cut away the flaps as the tire shreds while you’re driving. Otherwise it makes a hell of a racket and will...
I registered/titled my m1165 in Raleigh, NC a couple of weeks ago. I didn't need an inspector. I walked into the DMV with my sf97, a bill of sale from govplanet and an MVR-622 form (affidavit for working seatbelts and lighting), and walked out 20 minutes later with a normal, on-road title...
Most of the times these forums are extremely helpful. Sometimes these threads go sideways and I'm not sure why.
Yes - I know about afterglow
Yes - I know it's normal
Yes - I know it's temperature dependent
Yes - I know the newer start boxes don't pulse
Yes - I understand the logic and...
Out of curiosity, how high does the voltage go on your volt meter while it's pulsing? Into the red? Have you measured the actual voltage?
My M1165 pulses also (as do all these trucks), but mine pulses into the red and I've measured 30'ish volts on the peaks. After the 90 seconds or so, the...
That was my assumption but I don’t have any first hand experience with slant backs so I didn’t know for sure if there were any connection point or interface differences with them.
Appreciate the quick reply.
