M-1009 with a fuel leak, air in fuel and some surging

Ok, silly question: Where is the lift pump, exactly? Anyone have a pic of it? Also, where can I get the fuel filter base (gasket, whatever)? I can't seem to find one (or at least the correct one), online.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Took most of what I wanted to keep on it to get it ready to sell, lol. Don't worry, I got another. I just don't need two. Hah.

Nope. Fit fine without trimming. You really need a pic of a toughbox install? Like we haven't seen these a million times already? lol. Ok. I'll take one tomorrow.

Any experience towing 12 foot trailer with M1009?

I did it. Towed my Cadillac CTS about 600 miles when I picked up the CUCV. Used the bumper with a hitch. While I wouldn't recommend it, it can be doe. Just be very careful. It was "interesting" goinf down steep grades in Washington and California, but I took it slow and easy. I don't think that...

m1009 "clanking" noise when put in reverse...

I believe the consensus that is the likely culprit. Easy and cheap enough to replace, so I'll just replace them and see where that gets us. :-)

m1009 "clanking" noise when put in reverse...

When holding break, not rolling, moment when I shift into rev. I'll try the hold-the-break thing and shift into drive too. I'll replace them, thanks!

m1009 "clanking" noise when put in reverse...

Thanks for the responses and things to check, guys. Yeah, I should have mentioned that it is on flat surfaces, when I noticed it. Now it does it every time. I just moved it from the road back to the driveway and it did it again. I'll go outside and look it all over tonight, once it cools down...

m1009 "clanking" noise when put in reverse...

Ok, I searched the forums with no results, so if I missed it already posted then, well, sorry. lol. I noticed that the truck has developed a "clank" when I put it in reverse, about a month ago. It wasn't excessively loud, but noticeable and something I intended to look into. I've been busy...
