I'll be there! Not just one day but the whole week. Not sure if I take the GMC Ambulance this time or the M36A2 like previous years but we have time to think about that.
Yes, it is similar as the Dodge M886 except this GM has a longer wheelbase. Even longer as the CUCV or M1010. The M1010 is more like a pickup but mine is a "walk thru" , a sliding door between the cab and the ambulance body. A friend of mine used to have a M886 Dodge ambulance and when parked...
I don't know the M number of my truck. Perhaps anyone of you do? I have this 1982 GMC K3500 ambulance, It's part time 4x4, dually rear wheels, front and rear AC, PS, it did have a PTO whinch but the previous owner took it off. It came from the USAir Force in Europe. 350 V8 gas engine converted...
That's an easy guess under the tarp... DUKW. The small thing is a Volkswagen Golf (Rabbit), the CCKW is with that Swiss body (not interested) and the other truck (fender) is a Saurer (I think)
Agree?
I am looking for aa Closed Cab GMC with the mobile workshop.
Yes, as said above, it is an early '50s Swiss built shopvan body on a WW2 truck. There are quite a few of them around overhere.
The mobile machine shop mentioned above are rare. I know of a few in use and in a museum here in the Netherlands. I was hoping to own one myself but the one I found is...
I guess you mean these
a local junkyard has a set but the came out of the Ocean at Omaha Beach so they're rotted together and are of no use anymore. I will take pics as soon I visit him again. They're not for sale...

Nice looking truck, seems to be in Beltring.. been there, seen it... Your truck sure can be a 1944's but the Van body is not. they're Swiss built in the early '50s. Looks good tho..
Gas prices went down a little overhere. Now it is around $ 7.50 per gallon. I am glad my Jeep is running on propane, which cost about a third of the gasoline price. My M36A2 is running on anything liquid, like used engine oil, mixed with kerosine and french-fries-grease and stuff like that.
Wow! The thuck has been sitting in a barn since 1975. I put a battery in it, replaced the missing distributorcap, pumped up some fuel (32 yrs old gas) and tried the starterbutton, see if it has some life in it. It fired right up! on the button, and it runs so smooth... unbelievable!
I traced...
We just bought one yesterday. It's in original condition, even first paint. Slightly rusted but no rustholes. Just a coat of paint will do. it's an early 1945 or late '44 (I think), open cab, with winch and a tipper. it has been parked since 1972 and has only 8000 miles done. Tomorrow I'll see...
Hi there
I am not sure if my alternator is working or not. I have the idea that the engine hesistates a little when starting up. It used to start on the button. The guage of the alternator is not in the green part anymore but in yellow. I can't adjust it. How do I test if it is working. What...
Hi, I am looking for technical info or a TM for a Allis-Chalmers High-Speed Tractor, 18 ton, M4, powered with its original Waukesha 817cid engine.
And a TM about the White Halftrack would be nice too.
