After seeing a couple of rollover pictures I started to get a bit concerned. All the photos I have seen the cab is bent and often times crushed. Has anyone looked into a roll cage or considered adding extra tubing on the outside and possibly making a roof basket (for more storage)?
I resealed a diff on my rover once with RTV. After scouring the boards I found out it leaks mostly because people don't follow the instructions.
The missing step is assemble parts and tighten nuts enough to make the RTV start to squirt. Wait 8 hours for it to setup. Then finish tightening and...
Sorry another newbie question.
Looking at the photos of the M1078 I see the door handle has a lock but there is no key ignition. I also see chains on the floor in many of the auction photos.
How do you prevent people from stealing the vehicle?
Thanks that really clarifies it. The truck I'm looking at had a V belt but the alternator is missing so I will need to buy a new alternator pulley along with the new alternator.
I think in another thread I saw info on adding AC compressor and it looked V belt so I may end up going that route.
I'm still in the bidding phase of getting the truck but the one I'm working on is a 3126. Where can I find information on the kit? Is this something hidden in the TM's and I just need to dig it out?
Is it possible to convert the M1078 to a serpentine belt system?
With searching I show the HMMV and MRAP support it. (not sure of they are similar in any way) sorry to ask such basic questions.
