The saga continues.....
I took the truck in to the shop today:
Alternator is charging
No dead Battery Cells
Starter is not holding up.
I was told that the batteries were simply loosing charge because the truck was sitting for a few weeks at a time. "Sounds fishy to me but I am no expert"...
Thanks all, I had the batteries tested and was told that there is no dead cell. Should I give the new batteries a try? If so, what are good ones (brand and size) to get?
Thanks
Tom
Well it happened, I went to use my truck today and for the first time it did not start. I must admit that I saw it coming but am not sure what the problem is. I will try and give as much info as possible to help.
When I go to start it, the truck cranks over 4-5 sec. very strong. The weather...
Mine has a seperate switch. It tapped in in the harness along the outside of the fire wall and than ran back along the frame to the posts. I put the switch in one of the knock outs near the center of the dash. Not sure if that was the correct spot but I works for me.
Hope this helps.

Thanks,
No luck yet finding the article. I did find Kenny's homemade bleeder post.
Is it possible to simply open the lines at the wheels and press the fluid out with brake pressure. Obviously adding dot3 along the way to keep the mc under pressure.
Thanks
Tom
Hello all,
Its been a while, I have been putting my deuce to a lot of work this summer. Bomb loader has been a great addition for moving rocks and logs out of the woods. Today, about 35 miles from home, I lost all brake pressure. I was able to gear down and limp to a salvage yard nearby that...
I think the brake shoe adj. is the ticket. I followed the TM and pulled all the wheels. Some of the pads were a little off some a lot. Tried it out shortly after and all was back to normal. I used it for work this evening and and all is still well. Thanks
M-35tom, was that a rhetorical...
I really need some advice one the deuce brakes.
Everything has been working fine. This morning I went out to move the deuce and the brake pedal had about 4 of free play prior to beginning to engage the brakes. The truck still stops but the pedal is very spongy.
Here is what I know or think...
While I guess the title says it all. I am looking for the large round metal plate the goes between the triangle on the top of the post and the M35 convoy light.
If anyone has one to sell or knows where to find one please let me know.
Thanks
Tom
Thanks for the kind words.
Clinto, the plates are original, I pulled them off when I repainted the cab.
Littlebob, Sounds like you and I are in the same boat with wife and kids. I spent about 3 months to sand, prime and paint. Lots of breaks (interruptions) in between. Sanding off the old...
I finally got the paint on and the parts back together. I just wanted to offer a huge thank you for all the help, advice over the past several months.

I know I have read it, but now I cannot find the post. I am finally ready to paint my M35. Primer has been sitting four 3 days. I used acetone to thin the primer at a 4 to 1 ratio. It worked very well. I am curious what I should be using to thin the paint and at what ratio is best. It is GCI and...
