My first experience with Optima was running dual blue tops in parallel on my '91 F-150 without any type of isolation device. Worked great with the Warn 12K winch. Both blue tops had the same manufactured dates. After 8 + years I had one fail.
I have been using them for years. The red tops get damaged if they are deep cycled, not so with the yellow or blue tops. Have had the yellow tops on my A3 for a year and a half. Cranks right up, no matter how cold. Never needed the either.
That would really depend upon what you want to do. For pure cool.factor, the bobber will generally win, the bigger the tires the better. For rugged functionality, full size is.best. The bobber is generally considered far superior as a rock crawler with front and rear lockers, the front needs...
For civilians, the first jump is.normally a tandem jump. I.e., you are strapped.to the front on an experienced.jumper. That person will have.the new.foil.style shoot, and can land you on a dime, after.a.couple.thousand foot ride.that is.simply incredible.

Will be returning home from Latham (ALBANY) NY last week or two of Feb, to Fayetteville NC (Spring Lake/Ft Bragg). Have full size Chevy 2500 Express van. It is about 1/3 full of mostly light luggage and stuff, so can safely haul about 1,000 lbs more of stuff if not too large.

I think that you would be pleasantly surprised at the number of guys working for the major truck sales/maintenance businesses that have one or two guys that were mechanics in the motor pool while serving in the military. Just have to ask...
Hi Carnac, I have a M35A3 without winch. Have yet to find the original A2 frame number, though the A3 number was stamped into the frame. The axle tags say '95.
Appreciate any info you can find. Will continue the search for the A2 frame number.

A cruse up Gruber Road reveals that they still have quite a few A2s and even some A3s in several of the motorpools. Most are parked on the very back rows.
Perhaps we.will see.them on GL soon.
