I started this project over a year ago and then it sat on the shelf forever since the truck was off the road. So these past few weeks since all seems to be well with the truck I have been staying late in the shop finishing up my DVD player. The head unit is from JVC. I found a company on the web...
It is shown in the TM wiring diagram under starting circuits. It is between the "water in fuel" solenoid and the starter relay. It's saying Anode & Cathode. If I remember right that should mean it's a diode. Basically a one way check valve for electricity. Do not slice the wires together. Radio...
With the starter not grounded to the block it wouldn't spin when you tried it unbolted. Just take your test light to the small wire and I am sure you are going to find it has voltage. If it does go under the dash and find the starter relay (near the center over the T-Case lever) and I bet it is...
My GM guy said no good on the Module either. Part# 12034592. I did find this place a while back and I do think they have commercial sales. It's worth a shot. http://2920.iso-parts.com/nsn/2920-01-219-7842
2cents I think $30 a tire is fair. Labor rate is probably around $80+ an hour and from the time the truck is lifted to remove the wheels till it was lowered when the job was done I'm sure it would be over an hour.
Here is a little video of us on the trail. Don't make fun of our little mud holes. It's all we got. :-D http://www.ny-tactical.com/Video/MVs/TrailRide-2008.wmv
A group of us from the Nassau and Suffolk MV Clubs got together for a day of trail riding through Connetquot State Park. I think it's around 900 acres of dirt trails used by horse riders and hikers. The temp was crisp in the mid 30's with some wind to make it feel colder. Very few horseback...
Thanks for all the compliments. I forgot to mention the paint was from Aervoe. As you can see it's almost a perfect match to the real CARC on the dash. The color can't get any closer it's just not as flat.
The dash is a real good condition original with just some cracks at a few of the...
Since only one of my group of local MV friends has a working Mil radio and I don't have the funds at this time to get my own I gave my CB a spray can military look. I took a new CB that I just got off of eBay apart and gave it a professional looking repaint. I then made a metal mount for it at...
Welcome and congrats on you new truck. My first suggestion is to get a pack of ear plugs. Drive a tanks full of fuel with them on and take them off when you are near the refueling station. You will really be surprised how loud your truck is and how happy you brought the hearing protection. ;-)
Wow this is an old post of mine. Since I broke quite a few bolts before replacing the flex plate I can do this in my sleep. Of all the bolts to break on the engine it is one of the easier ones. The bolt is soft and very easy to drill into. Go and get yourself a "Reverse Drill Bit" 1/4" or less...
