I'm curious - are you doing a permanent wire to the switch from the portable, and where will you locate the switch, or are you using a plug wire. If cost is not a factor - would a plugin singe pole outdoor box like this one listed on Amazon also serve the purpose?

I would think that you would need a 4 pole for an absolute positive disconnection given that ground is bonded on the panel to neutral and you have 4 wires feeding from the MEP with the bonding strap removed on the MEP. 3 pin twist lock with grounding on the collar, or a 4 pin twist lock which...
On the inverter generators they use this one.
DROK 80-260V AC Multifunciton Digital Meter With CT, 100A Ammeter Voltmeter Power Monitor Energy Tester, Wide Measurement Range, STN Full-view LCD Screen, Auto-memory Digital Multimeter
If you look at the feedback section you'll see there's a few...
As for the question about n accuracy - I have not compared with a multi meter. Nearest 2 amps / 500watts is good enough for me to balance loads.
The voltage reading per circuit matches to the decimal when compared with a kill/a-watt meter plugged in on that circuit.

You need to expand the detailed description below the listing for the full specs. They are 50-60Hz.
Description
Parameters:
Voltage Measuring Range: AC 80.0-300.0V
Current Measuring Range: AC 0-99.99A (Resolution: 0.01A, display 100.0A when over 100A)
Active Power Measuring Range: 0-3000W...
The damage you can cause to the MEP by doing that will cost you more than the cheap HF generator. If you want to feed on the same circuit you need to put a switch in to select which source is feeding. Those folks backfeeding through the dryer outlet are putting the linemen's live at risk, and...
I have electric heat which sits in the same air handlers and makes for a very convenient load bank for the MEP. With both switched on the combined draw on each branch sits at just over 7600 w, and just over 63 amps so great for load testing (Family is less impressed when I switch the heat on but...
The breaker box is a Square D 4 Circuit 2 space 70 Amp Main Lug Load center. In installed a 60 amp switch. The gauges is a home grown solution.

I installed a double pole 60 amp switch in it. The feed wires...
Just to further clarify. The 29.25" measurement front to back is from the center of the mounting hole. The 29.5" measurement is from center of skid to center of skid when measured from the front of the unit which is also approximately where the holes are positioned.
Video of 5 ton AC starting with soft start and adding 2 ton ac.
Glad to report the soft start does a great job. The attached link shows the startup. The MEP 803 is running with no load - no circuits on the panel are on other than the two air handler units and the two AC compressor units. The...
I would start with what you need for maintenance for an extended run time (All the same things you check daily on a marine diesel Coolant, Hoses, Filters, Belts). Those are the bare minimum. Service intervals are 250 hours - so that gives you about 10 days non-stop running. I carry two of each...
Apologies - the above is not reflective of the mounting hole positions. Those measure 29.25" apart front to back. The skids on my unit measure 29.5" center to center.
It's a Tacklife CM04 - overpriced pos from Amazon. Blinded by the True RMS labeling - failed to see the lack of Min/Max etc. Documentation severely lacking as well. I overpaid for what it does. I just video it with my phone and then scroll through the footage to grab the frames showing the...
