The Jacques Littlefield Military Museum has a big if not the biggest collection of tanks. He passed away in 2009 but the museum is still there.

I have the same battery just from a different manufacturer: Deka 908D. They are big. Have an M813 and it cranks it really well. I had to put the Battery Minder on for a couple of days earlier this month because I haven't been driving it enough. After that they're just like new.
I just replaced the steering wheel on my XM813 and was amazed at how much torque it took to get it off. And I was using a wheel puller I bought a couple of years ago on eBay. When it broke loose it was a big "pop" as it sprung off.

I had thought the same thing -- that the level wind added to the front winch allowed more cable to be spooled since it would (at least in theory) be more evenly wound. Saw this in the winch TACOM Depot Maintenance Work Requirement -- DMWR 9-3830-501
I noticed that also. The -10 lists the front winch capacity at 20K Lbs. I've wondered if the rating given in the -10 and what seems to be the commonly accepted rating is expecting that you would be using a snatch block which would effectively double the basic winch rating.
