It has been 7 or 8 years since I last purchased a deuce and that was from a dealer in good condition with a f/glass hard top and no winch for $20,000 Aussie dollars, our dollar was worth 10c more than yours this morning but back then it was 30c less, I can't afford to pay anything like that but...
Also if you are having battery trouble after a 25 min drive, I would have a look at charge rates, unless you run big sub-woofers, had your AC on high and were using your portable 24 volt espresso machine :-)

To be honest I don't know, I wasn't into them back then and it was just a 6x6 Kaiser army truck, turbo multi fuel engine with the tray removed, we fitted a turntable so it could pull the trailer and a winch in case it got stuck.
