Someone's interested in my house so I hope to be out of here LONG before the economy turns around. Call me of low faith but with Jenny at the helm I haven't been terribly impressed so far.
Eh, there's a few CUCV's up here. Come to think of it I have seen a camo M1009 rolling around...
The M1009 I'm thinking of has been painted white. Actually, both the trucks are. That said I haven't seen the Blazer in a while. Seems like he drives them as often as I do mine (normally).
They come in waves locally. This winter there were all manner of K5's on Craigslist up here and now...
Hope you have better luck up here than I have. I can't wait to leave. Job crap, personal life crap, economic crap, bah! Somebody buy my house.
My buildup isn't the normal one. Don't need lift and crossover just to fit big tires.
There's a few dealers in the PA and NJ area. We have a...
TC eh?
Howdy neighbor.
Not much up here and yes, steer clear of Alfa Heaven.
There are a few sellers East of the Mississippi but not as many as elsewhere. Lemme know if you have any questions or concerns as I'm a local (for now).
Seems like that's cheaper through JCWhitney. Then again if you pick it up you won't have to pay shipping.
Should work...like I said a guy on the 6.2-6.5 diesel site said his bolted right on.
Hell, SC is probably like MI. If you want to pay to register a car that's long since rusted into uselessness they will gladly take your money as long as you have the VIN and a title. Friend of mine did that to win a bet.
Dammit. It USED to be on Summit's page.
Here it is on JCWhitney:
Heartthrob Exhaust DUAL EXHAUST CONVERSION SYSTEMS : JC Whitney: Auto Parts & Accessories
I bet LMC truck has it. Which reminds me, have to go order a Blazer catalog.
Yep.
I'm getting a diesel civy '89 K5 here in a month. The eventual plan is either Gibson or Flowmaster's single 3" pipe system combined with an extra bit of pipe and a Y pipe. Should flow better and sound nice.
Exhaust Systems & Kits, Exhaust, BLAZER, CHEVROLET, 1986 - summitracing.com
Any of those should work.
One of the guys on the 6.2L-6.5L forum was saying a while back that the 6.2L and 350 SBC have the ends of their exhaust manifolds in similar places in relation to each other. He bolted a "gas...
Summit Racing has Thrush dual kits. Since the M1009 has the same exhaust as a diesel civy K5 they should bolt right up.
Thinking about putting a single 3" on mine. Flowmaster has a nice one.
Don't buy one from Alfa Heaven. Do a search for "Alfa" and you'll see my and several other members problems with them in the past.
Also, I started to look for a diesel K5 or M1009 yesterday and I just put a request here and on Colorado K5 - Full-Size GM 4x4 Restoration and Off Road Community...
Price depends on condition really. I'm seeing them in sound but needs work shape for 2-3k and prettier for 3-4ish. All depends on the truck, how far, my budget, etc.
streetbikedepot...does he have an ad anywhere?
Just throwing this out there but I have started looking for a M1009 Blazer CUCV or a diesel civilian K5 Blazer or Jimmy. I've got a post in the classifieds but I know not all members visit there very often.
Not looking for anything purty or pristine. This will be a Daily Driver and I care more...
It's sort of a grey area. Knowingly doing that isn't much different then cutting a VIN off a junker and putting it on a stolen car in the eyes of the law.
Now are you going to get caught? Who knows. At worst it's the cops come looking for your vehicle and at best it's a bunch of paperwork...
