If your trans. goes into high at 22 mph then the throttle valve linkage is improperly adjusted (or the torsion spring has broken) Regarding low range...14 MPH is max speed in low on that truck. The 22 MPH, as idnetified, is approprate forlight throttle no load. The only connection the trans...
Level Wind
You ask what a level wind looks like, see below. They are neat pieces, they allow you to keep the rope wound properly, by using the tensioner and the winde. They are not without issues, but still worth the effort and the weight. I estimate the winder and the tensioner add 80 to 100...
RE: Re: RE: Might be looking to start over- built 3208T-deuc
How are you going to clear the front drive shaft with the 9-speed? Is it not wider in the lower counter shaft well than the 5 speed?
LC, 2 wrenches? Are do you mean the "U" shcped wrench and a standard socket? Very strange to loose the gasket twice in the same spot. Did it blow the fire ring or just spit the fiber out?
Brakes???? With the ability to lock down at 55,000# (yea I know that was with over 30k in the back....)...
Transfer control
Similar control for the transfer on the 5-ton as the air shift on the 2-1/2. Just dumps the air and the transfer is in netural. See location on Squirt (picture following) Same thing Ron is refering to. Well worth the effort, even allows you to let the truck roll back some...

RE: 5 ton dump cover
YES, YES, YES, Major interest in the 5-ton dump cover. Good friend has one and needs cover.
Drop a return line asap.
Thanks,

Have you really checked on the true capacity of the electric winch? Most are not capable of making rate and the few that do will only do it for a few minutes....once. Someone on here posted some winch testing some time ago, the results were very interesting, read as disappointing. Original...
Why would you ever remove the rotating pintle? Fixed and fixed is a formula for real damage with a big tag alog trailer. That hitch on the 2-1/2 will handle anything the truck will pull and then that again. I pull a 24,000# Trail King and never have any problems, but my buddy tried that with...
