Vintage 2 1/2 ton dumps that I have found list the model as D-D-54, this is from 1966. They seem to have come orig with the 427 and had horizontal exh. All components other then engine look exactly like M342A2. Does anyone know about this ?
Does anyone know if the C model engines were modified with maybe a new style head gasket making them comparable to the Ds? I am looking at a very expensive truck and it has the C1 engine.
