Time to get lockout fixed replace the instrument cover and back bumper. The fun ends when it comes time to wash it. The playing is cool  the washing sucks!!!!
Even the civilian models had the same problem. The cucv models just a bit more most likely because of the gears and being turned harder.GM tech bulletins lists the harmonic as the cause for the crank breaking mainly just in front of the # two main,Must be the week spot! the harmonic bal outer...
I have used a kit like this in the link : transmissioncoolers.us: Engine cooler kits
and cheaper then the dealer. Mount the cooler on the same side of the radiator as the cooler lines are now works just as good if not better!
My truck had one when I got it. The second thing I did when I got it home was remove it still have the bows. Asked if anybody needed and gave most of the 1/4 turns to a few on here that needed them. Still have a few. and the angle mounts are in scrap pile.

Amen and glad to hear you testifie zout! Cheaper to fix it corectly the first go around!! 3dubs problem was he just sprang or bent the ears on the slip yolk just needed to spring them back.
:ditto: sounds like everything is norm and I to wounder if he saw only one not spinning the front is what they call an open front only one wheel will get power and unfortunately will be the one with the least traction! you can take cover off but sounds to like its fine ask your buddy if he only...
:ditto: all parts are the same, swap sender take mounts off turn them around on the tank even the mounting holes will be in the frame to bolt it up .
I would think as old as the thing is your best bet would be to get a torch and cut the head off the bolt and the nut then pry the spring out and remove the bolt and bushing after you get the spring out get a energy suspension bushing kit and replace all the bushings anyways sounds like you got...
