The transfer hangs off the back of the transmission at the mount so the weight and length of the transfer Plus the out of balanced drive shaft the harmonics of the drive shaft being out of balance get multiplied the seals will have a shorter life but the case of the trans will be the week...
the 208 is a non synchronized transfer makes them a bit harder to shift that is why if you are setting still and pull it into 4 wheel high from 2 wheel it will pop out sometimes you should be moving slowly to pull into 4 wheel high from 2 wheel will go in easy
The radio in the pic is my fire dept radio its only about 4 inches deep and no its not in the way I'm taller so seat is back the radio is not past the end of dash so no problem with pedal I could see if the radio was deeper it could be a problem!
Just went out a measuerd the shaft that came in my 1028 with the famus fork truck dent and its on the money with your finding at 54 1/4 center of joint to center of joint [thumbzup]
I think I would run the cables along the frame under the truck then up to were you want the switch. if you run them threw the cab kind of hard to hide them going from front to back use rubber or covered straps to hold it and its out of the way and sight! 2cents
just went out a took this I used the normal plate that came with the Stewart warner gauges got a piece of 1'' fat stock cut it as wide as mount screwed the strap to the lower lip of the dash just above the radio spot and fastened the gauge mount to that I don't plan on a FM radio if I do all I...
Wow they look Really good [thumbzup][thumbzup] had thought about a set before but that is as far as it got after seeing them on your truck I like the look my brother in-law has a set he said I could have last Christmas never took him up on the offer will have to call him see if he still have...
That temp is just what mine runs about 180 and drops a bit at idle and the oil at start up is about 80 and when hot at idle is 35/40 and about 65/70 at speed :driver: I would think that gauge would be fine about 230 is the hottest I would run then for only a short while but you should never see...
I thought there would be something show up but if its knocking you run it without oil we know that. So a rebuild kit is only going to be parts. You will need to get the crank turned and rods or at least a couple rod reconditioned after a bearing failier you just can't put new bearings in it. If...
Like docwatson said YOU GOT LUCKY!! [thumbzup] cooler line breaks and you still drive normally ends with seizure! or at least spun bearing keep an eye on it once you replace line may still find it hurt it.
What ever brand of lift you go with remember you will need to get diff. u-bolts because the Dana 60 uses bigger or wider U-bolts. 2 u-bolt on driver side and 1 U-bolt and two bolts on pass side
I included the inner spindle seal because most guys forget about that seal and bearing before you put it back together check the bearing and put some grease on the end of your finger and pack into bearing and spin if it's not free replace it if seal is bad or dry replace it the short outer shaft...
